Chapter 615

Kenny's calls to Maisy went unanswered or were met with busy signals. He felt she was deliberately ignoring him. Like Skylar, Maisy's betrayal stung. After all he had done, she seemed to be thriving elsewhere.

Skylar regarded Kenny's disheveled, furious appearance coldly. Once consumed by hatred for the Williams family, she now felt indifferent. Her heart remained calm.

"Kenny, you're pathetic," Skylar sneered.

Kenny stiffened at the word. Many had cursed him, declared his misfortune deserved, even hinted at divine retribution, but none had called him pathetic before. Skylar was the first. The once proud Kenny had become a pathetic figure.

Skylar returned to her car, reversed swiftly, and drove off, leaving a cloud of dust. As the dust settled, Kenny snapped back to reality. Rage and disbelief filled him as he glared at the departing car.

"Skylar! You'll regret this! I'll rise to the top, and everyone will look up to me again. Then you, and everyone else, will come begging. Even then, I won't forgive you. You act high and mighty, but you're just a cheap plaything!" he shouted.

Just then, his phone rang. He stopped his rant, his face brightening at the sight of Maisy's name. Perhaps fate wasn't entirely against him.

"Maisy, you finally called! I've missed you so much. I'm so sorry for everything. I was just too angry. How could I ever not want you? I've doted on you since childhood. You're my beloved, my sister. Where are you? I'll come find you now."

He spoke with heartfelt sincerity, confident any woman, especially Maisy, would be moved.

But the voice was a man's.

"This is Christopher Fowler."

"What? Christopher? Is Maisy with you? She went to you? Let me speak to her! Christopher, you're despicable! Do you know what Maisy and I have? She's my woman, and you're with her again!" Kenny's expression shifted dramatically.

He hadn't expected Maisy to seek out Christopher, a pauper. Of all people, she chose him to suffer with.

"We're not together. She left her phone. Since she's deceived us both, I can tell you something. Maisy's found a wealthy sugar daddy and is returning to Jipsburg soon, a wealthy socialite. I suggest you go to Korel City and demand compensation from her on behalf of the Williams family. I just received one million dollars from her. If you come, we can find her together. She probably has ten to twenty million."

Kenny fixated on the figure. If Christopher got one million, he'd demand five million from Maisy.
