Chapter 726

“Felicia must have known Charles couldn't do anything about her. That explains why she didn't bother clarifying the situation. She's even trying to manipulate public opinion,” Freddie hissed, his teeth gritted.

Hatred was etched across Charles's face as he pursed his lips. His acting career had ended at the hands of a woman. Though he'd devised an escape, he wouldn't tolerate her slander.

Skylar's expression turned somber. She contacted Natalie to relay the situation, hoping Hank could offer a solution, or they could reach Felicia directly.

Skylar opened WhatsApp to find a text from Paul. Joe had learned of the events and dispatched someone to assist Charles. Glancing at Charles's ashen face, Skylar called Paul.

“Mr. Ziegler, I saw your text.”

“Mrs. Martin, Mr. Martin has sent me to contact our PR team. They're already developing a plan. Don't worry, they'll minimize the damage to Charles,” Paul assured her.

Skylar thanked him and detailed the events between Charles and Felicia. Paul, after hearing her explanation, erupted in a string of expletives before apologizing profusely. “There must be something fundamentally wrong with Felicia! Don't fret, Mrs. Martin. I'll ask them to take a different approach.”

“Alright. Thank Mr. Martin for me,” Skylar said before hanging up.

Paul readily agreed and went to inform Joe. Skylar then asked Natalie for Felicia's contact number. Felicia had given Natalie her work number, but Natalie hadn't saved it, assuming she'd never see Felicia again. Even if they could access her call history, her old phone was lost.

Freddie interjected, “I have Adele's number, but she's not answering, even when I used a different number.”

“Let me try,” Skylar offered. She called, but received no answer. Adele likely wouldn't answer unknown numbers. Skylar then remembered Felicia's Instagram and sent her a message.

Felicia, engrossed in her phone, watched her follower count and comments surge. She reveled in the happiness, oblivious to Charles's plight. How could he escape her trap? He hadn't listened to her, making her unhappy. He would pay! Being a Sullivan ensured she wouldn't let him go easily. As she basked in the adulation, a message appeared: it was from Skylar.
