Joe accepted the invitation without hesitation. Skylar sighed quietly. "Drop me off here," she said. "The roads are busy; I can take a cab."

"There's no need. I'll take you home," Joe replied.

She didn't protest. He drove her home, watching her enter before instructing Lucas to drive away.

Later, Freddie checked his phone, revealing numerous missed calls—all from Adele. He pursed his lips. "How dare they contact us? My research shows they played a significant role in making this go viral, hiring influencers to support their claims. They tried everything to destroy you and banish you from the industry. Now the truth is out; many have provided evidence. Felicia can forget about her entertainment career."

"Block her. No need to answer any of their calls," Charles instructed coldly. He wasn't malicious, but neither was he forgiving of those who wronged him.

"That's exactly what I was planning. Who do they think they are?" Freddie immediately blocked Adele.

Felicia's attempts to contact others resulted in blocked calls and ignored messages. Even the journalists she'd worked with remained silent, fearing repercussions. Only Jenny responded, contacted through a mutual friend who knew of Felicia's adoption and Joe's kindness.
