Countless divination masters resided in Jipsburg; Denton didn't need Alexander's assistance. Even if a negative item existed, several renowned state masters could resolve the issue. Vera feared Denton wouldn't heed Pamela's advice and remain steadfast in his beliefs. If so, she would attempt to persuade him before inviting Alexander.

She was relieved Denton hadn't immediately requested a master. It wouldn't matter who investigated; there was no need to involve Alexander and draw Skylar's attention. Finding a master for the Ruells proved straightforward. Within an hour, they secured one.

He examined Denton's house, then several other Ruell residences, spending the entire day. Ultimately, he found nothing. "I apologize for my inability to find anything," he stated before departing. "All your residences are situated favorably, and I detected no problems. The interior design is excellent. The recent events might simply be coincidences, though I remain uncertain."

They relayed his findings to Denton, who remained silent for a long time. Upon hearing this, Vera paled, asking, "Grandpa, should we consult Mr. Gardner Senior?"

Denton appeared distraught. Before today, he would have given up, but now… he hesitated.

Alexander, highly respected in Jipsburg, had learned of the Ruells' predicament and the master's verdict. Before leaving work, he summoned Skylar.

"Despite everything, the Ruells still haven't grasped the situation," Alexander complained, frowning. "I never considered Mr. Ruell Senior stubborn and traditional; now it's clear he won't surrender until the very end."

Skylar replied, "More accidents will befall them."

Alexander furrowed his brow. "It seems they won't overcome this crisis easily." No one in Jipsburg dared contradict him; his unwavering moral principles commanded respect. Yet, Denton believed him to be deceitful.

"It's almost time to leave. You can go first," Alexander told Skylar, who departed.

Ten minutes later, as Skylar prepared to leave, Alexander called. "Skye, Mr. Ruell Senior called. He finally believes a negative item affects the Ruell family. He wants us to investigate his residence tonight. Are you available?"

Skylar hadn't expected Denton to change his mind so swiftly, anticipating a longer struggle involving additional masters.

"Mr. Gardner Senior, I have two conditions for the Ruells if they desire my assistance," Skylar stated. "One, they must pay us twenty million. Two, Vera must apologize to me in person. If they agree, they will follow my instructions. I will proceed whenever convenient for them."

Alexander was silent, then hesitantly asked, "Did Vera do something to you? Don't worry, I'll speak to them."

After disconnecting, Alexander frowned. "Skylar wouldn't demand an apology without reason. Vera must have angered her."

When Denton returned after Alexander's call, he was extremely displeased. He glared at Vera. "Didn't you say Skylar was a flirt who attempted to seduce Joe, Aiken, and Rowan? And Mr. Gardner Senior as well?"
