After they left, Skylar frowned. Simultaneously, Caleb emerged, asking, "Skylar, we're having dessert. Would you like some?"

"I'm full. Enjoy yourselves."

Jenny seemed distracted after leaving the restaurant.

"Why are you so disoriented after meeting that beautiful woman? Is there bad blood between you two?"

Jenny recovered. "I'm afraid she'll tell Rowan about our conversation. Even though we didn't mean anything by it, he might misinterpret it. I don't want him to misunderstand me."
