“Where’s Emily Blanchard? Hand over that witched thing right now!”
The woman braiding the creep spotted Emby, who was in a wedding dress. She lunged forward and grabbed Endly by her hair.
“We’ve finally caught you! You’re not getting away with it so easily after what you’ve done to my sim!”
Then, she started dragging Enth toward the front door. Tasly went white as a sheet. She struggled frantically as she tried to squirm free from the woman’s grip.
“Let me go! Jenson, help me! Hurry and pull this crazy woman away!”
Jenson snapped out of his reverie when he heard Emily’s words. He rushed forward and pulled her away from the woman. Then, he shielded her from the others with his body.
“Who are you people? Get out of my house this instant. Otherwise, I’m calling the cops.”
The woman, Rachel Anderson, cast him a sideways glance and said monotonously, “Mike Conway is my son. I came here for this wretched woman today. What we do with her is our business.”
Jenson burned with righteous anger hearing that. Even though he no longer liked Emily, he couldn’t possibly just stand by and watch others beat her up. Moreover, Mike had held Estella hostage and harmed her before. This time, his parents had blatantly shown up at Jenson’s place and tried to take someone away.
Yet, before Jenson could say anything, Rachel’s subsequent remarks made him freeze.
“Mike was already planning to get married. However, this bitch got between him and his fiancée, who would’ve been the best daughter-in-law I could ever ask for! Yet, this wretched woman snuck away after spending all of my son’s savings. Momly resorted to doing those unlawful things because of what she did to him!”
Before Rachel could finish talking, Emily grabbed Jenson’s sleeve and sobbed miserably.
“That’s not true! Don’t do this to her. It was her son who won’t stop harassing me!”
Jenson didn’t blindly take Emily’s side this time. He gazed at Rachel with a conflicted look in his eyes.
“Do you have any proof to support your claims?”
Rachel slammed a stack of photos onto Jenson’s head. The photographs showed several cuts on his face.
“You want proof? Take a good look at those photos! Isn’t the woman in the photos that filthy wench behind you?”
In the photos, Emily didn’t appear as sad or pitiful as she’d been recently. Indeed, she was smiling brightly in each photo, glued to Mike’s side, looking very happy. The two of them even looked overly intimate in some of the photos. Looking at the photos, it was obvious that Mike and Emily’s relationship was nothing like how the latter had described it—Emily had insisted that Mike was harassing her.
Jenson paled as he took in Jenson’s pale face.
“Do you see it now? Even her parents are aware of this. They said that she should find a way to return the money since she was the one who took it. So? Are you planning to pay off…?”
It turned out Emily’s parents hadn’t forced him to marry Mike, and Mike wasn’t trying to harass her for no reason.
It finally dawned on Jenson how gravely mistaken he’d been. Emily, whom he’d thought was having a hard time, was actually the person who’d ruined someone else’s life. He should have loved and cherished Estella most for being a far better person than Emily. It’s no wonder he and Mike were so different.
“No…. We’re different. From the beginning until now, the person that I’ve loved is Estella. I was simply tricked by Emily…” Jenson thought.
