Chapter 104
Jocelyn looked like she wanted to say something but kept hesitating, making everyone anxious. โJocelyn, dear, just tell us! Who is it?โ
โItโs not that I donโt want to say it. Iโm just afraid youโll be wronged. Sheโs really not someone you want to mess with,โ Jocelyn said.
โWe have justice on our side. What do we have to be afraid of? Just tell us, who is it?โ they pressed.
Jocelyn exaggerated as she revealed Siennaโs name. The last incident had already made them resent Sienna, and now it was her doing again. Sheโd really gone too far this time.
A whole crowd marched up to the Hart residence, looking fierce and intent on demanding justice.
Sienna heard from Ebert that Linda had brought a whole group of people to the gate. She was just about to have someone take care of it when another idea popped into her headโAidenโs mother. She came here this morning, yelling for money.
Not content with just sending her away, Sienna told Ebert to bring her back. Ebert was confused, but he didnโt dare question Siennaโs orders.
Madam Hart came storming back into the Hart residence, cursing all the way. But when she saw the woman sitting on the sofa, her bravado instantly faltered.
โShe must be calling me back to give me money,โ she thought.
โNo matter how stubborn this brat is, Iโm still her grandma,โ she grumbled to herself.
โWeโre family, after all. No matter how tough she acts, she wouldnโt really embarrass me in front of everyone,โ she reassured herself.
โIsnโt Madam Hart always singing Lindaโs praises? Well, letโs see how she handles it when sheโs forced to go after her favorite,โ Sienna thought.
โHereโs seventeen grand. If you do what I say, Iโll give you another seven grand,โ Sienna said, tossing the money on the table.
Madam Hart didnโt hesitate for a second. She snapped, โSienna, Iโm your real grandma! How dare you treat me like this? This amount of money? Am I a beggar to you?โ
Ever since her son latched onto Selina, sheโd never been short on cash. If it werenโt for Sienna suddenly coming back and cutting off her allowance, she wouldnโt have to come crawling to her at her age.
โSienna is just as ruthless and vicious as that woman,โ she thought bitterly.
Sienna shot Madam Hart a cold look and said in a flat tone, โSeems like youโre not short on money. Ebert, see her out.โ
โYouโฆ youโฆโ Madam Hart trembled with rage. But as Ebert started closing in, she quickly backtracked, โIโฆ I want it! Just tell me what you want me to do.โ
She could only grit her teeth and swallow her humiliation. Sienna was just too ruthless. When she got really riled up, she wouldnโt hold back on anything.
Madam Hart had seen it before.
โLinda and her whole crew are out front making a scene. I want them so scared they never dare show up here again. Get rid of them and the moneyโs yours.
โBut donโt get it twisted. Iโm not asking you to play mediator. I want things to get ugly. Someone better get hurt, understand?โ Sienna said coldly.
Madam Hart shot Sienna a vicious glare. โSo she really wants me to rough someone up?โ she thought.
โAnd she wants me to go after Linda? This is absolutely outrageous. Sheโs actually sending me out there to rough someone up? Does she think Iโm some kind of thug?โ Sheโs just using me, Madam Hart fumed inwardly.
โSienna is such an ungrateful brat. What an ingrate,โ Madam Hart cursed to herself.
But now she was flat broke, could barely put food on the table, and her son was still stuck in the hospital recovering.
โFine, Iโll do it,โ she said through gritted teeth.
Madam Hart clenched her fists and stormed out, striding in a way that seemed way too energetic for someone her age.
Linda spotted Madam Hart and felt like sheโd just found her savior. โMomโs definitely here to take me home,โ she thought, clinging to hope.
