Chapter 127

The slap was hard, leaving Winifredโ€™s face burning with pain, but she still wore a defiant smile. โ€œWhat, are you actually enjoying being someoneโ€™s lackey?โ€ she taunted.

โ€œYou!โ€ The woman raised her hand to slap her again, but someone beside the woman reminded her, โ€œWeโ€™re here. Get her out of the car. Lydia wants to deal with her herself.โ€

โ€œGot it.โ€ As they dragged Winifred out, the woman couldnโ€™t resist giving her a kick.

Winifred tried to fight back, but the person beside her gripped her arms tightly, making it impossible for her to move.

Winifred was dragged into the room, where a woman sat on a black sofa. Her hair was twisted into a bun, and she wore an all-white outfit. A mole rested just above her lip on her slightly wrinkled face.

She was smoking, her expression completely indifferent. โ€œYouโ€™re here,โ€ she said.

Two people forced Winifred down to the floor, making her land hard on her knees. Her eyes blazed with defiance as she gritted her teeth. โ€œYou witch, after all these years, you still canโ€™t get me out of your mind, huh?โ€

Lydia slowly stood up, a mocking smile on her lips. โ€œFive years, honey. Youโ€™re still just as infuriating as ever. The very first time I saw you, I knew you werenโ€™t like those useless losers. I never thought youโ€™d end up giving me such a big surprise.โ€

For all these years, Lydia had searched for Winifred everywhere. If she hadnโ€™t found out that Grayson was Winifredโ€™s mentor, she might have missed her completely.

Winifred smirked coldly, her eyes flashing with sarcasm. โ€œLydia, spare me the nonsense. What do you want? Donโ€™t tell me youโ€™re hoping Iโ€™ll come crawling back to you. I doubt youโ€™re that desperate.โ€

โ€œBut then again, youโ€™re a cheap woman. Or maybe youโ€™re still upset about that little fire five years ago when I torched your millions and precious files. Are you here for revenge?โ€

Winifredโ€™s words hit a nerve. Lydiaโ€™s face darkened, and she glared fiercely at the girl in front of her. Winifred was actually quite pretty, but unfortunately, she had a mouth that was begging for trouble.

Lydia wasnโ€™t in a hurry. She had plenty of ways to make someone suffer. Tonight, she would make sure Winifred wished she were dead.

โ€œWell, Winifred. Just like old timesโ€“still as stubborn as ever. I love it. Do you know who ratted you out to me?โ€ Lydia sneered.

Winifred froze. She knew exactly who it was. She knew it so well that it hurt too much to admit. It was her mentor.

With her skills, Winifred could have stayed hidden forever. Sheโ€™d built walls against everyone except the one person she trusted most. It was her own blind confidence. The moment they tracked her down, she knew right away. It had to be Grayson.

โ€œSo what?โ€ Winifred scoffed, her tone dripping with disdain.

Winifred comforted herself in her mind. Just another betrayal. Nothing to be sad about. Iโ€™m not some naive little girl anymoreโ€“wasting emotions on this crap is beneath me. As for Grayson, Iโ€™ll make sure to settle the score with him myself.

โ€œWell, Winifred, get ready for your first trial. I never got to raise you to eighteen or give you a proper coming-of-age ceremony, so thatโ€™s on me. But this time, Iโ€™ve prepared ten for you. For the next two hours, let them make sure you experience every one of them," Lydia said with a twisted grin.

Winifred understood exactly what Lydia meant. Under Lydiaโ€™s control, no girl ever stayed a virgin.

Lydia claimed it was to help them gain emotional experience so they could resist temptation in the future, but in reality, it was to satisfy Lydiaโ€™s twisted fetish. She enjoyed watching the expressions on womenโ€™s faces as they were violated.

โ€œYouโ€™re such a pervert, Lydia. Do you think I donโ€™t know about your disgusting fetishes?โ€ Winifred sneered.

Winifred really knew how to get under her skin. Lydiaโ€™s face twisted in embarrassment, but she quickly masked it, clapping her hands. Ten burly men strode into the room.

โ€œSince youโ€™ve been so disrespectful to me, Iโ€™ve decided to throw in one extra for you. Happy now?โ€ Lydia said.

Winifred clenched her fists.

Just as Lydia was about to clap her hands again, Grayson walked in. โ€œI want to speak to her.โ€

Lydia didnโ€™t object. She just sat back on her sofa, a faint, mocking smile playing on her lips.

Winifred kept her head down, not even sparing Grayson a glance.

โ€œWinifred, I know Iโ€™ve let you down, but I had no choice. I got involved in things I shouldnโ€™t have, and now the industry has blacklisted me. Theyโ€™re after my life. I need money to disappear and start over."

โ€œWinifred, you were always my most talented student. Donโ€™t worry, Iโ€™ll make sure youโ€™re buried properly,โ€ Grayson said, his tone filled with helplessness.

Winifred didnโ€™t respond, but her eyes blazed with intense hatred and murderous intent. If she made it out alive, she would make sure Grayson paid.

Seeing she had no intention of speaking to him, Grayson could only sigh and shake his head before walking out.

As he stepped outside to get some air, a hand suddenly clamped over his mouth and nose, dragging him away into the shadows.

Graysonโ€™s eyes went wide with terror. Before he could react, he was brought in front of a figure. He couldnโ€™t see her face, only noticing that she wore a mask and black clothes, with a high ponytail. Her eyes, indifferent, locked onto him as she moved closer.

Before Grayson could utter a word, a gag was shoved into his mouth. The next instant, a blade stabbed straight into his eye. He tried to scream, but no sound escaped. His body trembled, writhing in pain.

Lydia chuckled, waving her hand at the eleven men. Just then, one of her women rushed in.

โ€œLydia, somethingโ€™s wrong! Someoneโ€™s here!โ€ she gasped.

Lydiaโ€™s mood soured. โ€œWho is it?โ€

โ€œShe says sheโ€™s here to take Winifred back. She told you to get your ass out there right now,โ€ the subordinate replied.

Lydiaโ€™s voice turned icy. โ€œWho the hell does she think she is, barging into my turf and running her mouth? Open the door. I want to see just whoโ€™s got the balls."

Winifredโ€™s heart raced nervously, her mind focused on one person. As the doors opened, Winifred suddenly turned around and locked eyes with the person behind the mask; it was her.

Why would she come here? Has she lost her mind? Winifred thought, both excited and worried. Does she even realize who Lydia is! Even with her current status, thereโ€™s no way she can handle Lydia.

โ€œWho are you?โ€ Lydia demanded, her voice cold and wary.

Sienna stepped forward and flashed a dagger. Instantly, Lydiaโ€™s people tensed up, thinking Sienna was about to do something reckless.

In the next instant, blood poured from Graysonโ€™s neck. His mouth fell open in shock, his remaining eye bulging in terror. He twitched for a few seconds before dying with that look of disbelief still frozen on his face.

The sight made Lydiaโ€™s face go ashen, all her earlier brazen confidence vanishing, replaced by a grave seriousness. โ€œWho exactly are you? What the hell do you want?โ€ she demanded.

Siennaโ€™s voice was icy. โ€œWho gave you the guts to lay a hand on my people? Are you tired of living!โ€
