Chapter 144

Nora snuggled up to Sienna, feeling incredibly happy. โ€œEnna, letโ€™s go out for drinks, okay?โ€ she said, her voice full of excitement.

Sienna glanced down at her with a teasing smile. โ€œTrying to drink your troubles away?โ€

Nora shook her head, giving Sienna a playful look. โ€œNope, not at all. That loser isnโ€™t even worth a single drop of my booze. I just want to call in a few hot gigolos.โ€

Sienna was left speechless, totally thrown off by Noraโ€™s shamelessness.

Half an hour later, they arrived at the entrance of Charmvale. Nora bounced with excitement and said, โ€œEnna, youโ€™re the best!โ€

Meanwhile, Ryan saw Sienna walking into the bar and went back to tell Winifred. Winifred scoffed and rolled her eyes. โ€œWhat does it have to do with me? Ryan, Iโ€™ve told you before, I have nothing to do with her. I donโ€™t want to hear anything about her."

Ryan nodded, getting the message. โ€œGot it, Winifred.โ€

Winifred snorted, her tone indifferent. โ€œWhat are they doing at Charmvale!โ€

Ryan fell silent.

Inside, Nora sprawled on the sofa, arms outstretched, a playful smirk on her pink lips. She looked like she totally owned the place tonight. โ€œCome here, handsome,โ€ she teased, grinning mischievously.

But just as she was about to shout, she spotted her brother, Wayne, standing at the entrance with an angry expression. The shock nearly sent her into a panic.

โ€œOh my god, I must be seeing things! Enna, I swear I just saw my brother!โ€ She squeezed her eyes shut, desperately hoping she was just seeing things.

Nora had always been the well-behaved one growing up, and now, for the first time ever, she got caught doing something like this.

Sienna, cool as ever, hit her with a reality check. โ€œNope, youโ€™re not seeing things. Thatโ€™s your brother.โ€

Wayne walked over, his face cold. As one of Charmvaleโ€™s shareholders, heโ€™d received a message from the manager that Nora was here, so he made sure someone was keeping an eye on her.

Whatever she didโ€”calling for male models or whateverโ€”was none of his concern. She wasnโ€™t a child anymore; she was almost thirty, a grown woman. But he couldnโ€™t accept her bringing Sienna along to mess around with men.

โ€œWayne, what are you doing here?โ€ Nora stammered, nervously avoiding his eyes. Her heart raced, not understanding why he was so angry. Then, suddenly, everything clicked for Nora.

โ€œWayne, wait, let me explain. Those guysโ€”I just wanted them to come up and do a little talent show for us, thatโ€™s all. Enna and I were just sitting here; it was getting a little boring, so we thought weโ€™d watch a performance or something,โ€ Nora finished awkwardly.

Wayneโ€™s gaze swept over the rows of gigolos, each one tall and good-looking. Then he glanced at Sienna, whose eyes were cold and indifferent, completely out of place in this chaotic atmosphere.

โ€œSienna, you too,โ€ he started, his voice trailing off.

Sienna knew exactly what he meant, so she answered honestly, โ€œYeah, Nora brought me here. She said she wanted these guys to put on a talentโ€ฆโ€

Wayne knew he had no right to question her, so he held back the sour feeling in his chest. โ€œSienna, let me join you for a drink. As for these guys, letโ€™s have them leave for now. Nora, what do you think?โ€

Nora didnโ€™t dare have any objections. โ€œAlright, alright, you guys can go now. Youโ€™ll get your money, just talk to the manager.โ€

โ€œYes,โ€ the gigolos replied in unison, quickly making their exit.

Nora shivered, forcing a nervous smile, but Wayne didnโ€™t even glance her way.

โ€œSienna, thanks for helping Nora out again tonight,โ€ Wayne said, his tone flat. โ€œSo if you ever need someone to run errands for you, just make her your gofer or whateverโ€”donโ€™t be shy.โ€

โ€œNoraโ€™s my best friend,โ€ Sienna replied coolly. โ€œI heard you beat up Ethan, but you went too crazy on him. He still had the nerve to show up tonight.โ€

Wayne nodded, taking her words to heart. โ€œYouโ€™re right. I shouldโ€™ve hit him harder. I gave him too much of a break.โ€
