Chapter 148

โ€œWinifred! Do you have a death wish? You two, make sure you teach her a good lesson!โ€ Olivia Bennett shouted at the bodyguards, her face burning with humiliation and rage.

But before the bodyguards could even lay a finger on Winifred, Ryan had already taken them down.

Oliviaโ€™s swagger vanished in an instant, like a blazing fire suddenly snuffed out by a bucket of water.

โ€œWinifred! What are you trying to do! Iโ€™m warning you, if youโ€“โ€

Winifred didnโ€™t even spare her a glance. She turned around and interrupted, โ€œSo lame.โ€

โ€œHey, Winifred! I need something from you. Isnโ€™t it true youโ€™ll do anything as long as you get paid? Iโ€™ll give you two hundred thousand if you help me with just one thing,โ€ Olivia called out.

Winifred had her hands in her pockets, casually chewing on a piece of candy sheโ€™d pulled out of nowhere. โ€œNot interested,โ€ she said flatly.

โ€œWait! Three hundred thousand! No, four hundred thousand! Five hundred thousand! Iโ€™ll give you five hundred thousand, Winifred! I really donโ€™t have any money left, this is all my pocket money!โ€ Olivia cried out desperately.

Winifred stopped in her tracks, turning to look at her with a bored expression. โ€œI said Iโ€™m not interested,โ€ she repeated, her tone flat and uninterested.

โ€œWinifred, if you help me, I can get my dad to help you get back into school. Youโ€™ll graduate and get your degree without any problems,โ€ Olivia said, standing tall with pride and confidence.

She was sure Winifred wouldnโ€™t be able to resist such a tempting offer.

Winifredโ€™s lips twitched as she looked at Oliviaโ€™s confident demeanor, completely baffled.

Why does she think Iโ€™m desperate to go back to school! Winifred thought, completely unimpressed. If I really wanted to be a good student, would I have caused so much trouble at school, argued with teachers, and turned the whole place upside down! Even the principal avoids me, and I once shoved a centipede into the deanโ€™s mouth!

โ€œAre you crazy?โ€ Winifred shot back, her disdain clear in her voice. Without hesitation, she turned and walked away, leaving Olivia standing there in shock.

It took Olivia a moment to react before scrambling to catch up. Ryan, seeing she wasnโ€™t a real threat, didnโ€™t step in.

โ€œHey, Winifred! Did you even hear me? I said I can get you back into school and help you get your diploma!โ€ Olivia called out, her voice tinged with desperation.

Winifred stopped, gave her a look full of disdain, and asked with obvious annoyance, โ€œWhat was your name again!โ€

Olivia, furious, couldnโ€™t believe Winifred didnโ€™t even remember her name. She was the schoolโ€™s most famous beauty and had been her roommate for three whole days.

โ€œItโ€™s Olivia Bennett. Winifred, Iโ€™m giving you one more chance to reconsider,โ€ she said, trying to sound tough.

Winifred tapped her temple and said, โ€œIs there something wrong with your brain or what?โ€

It took Olivia a moment to understand what she meant. Furious, she stomped her foot and reached out to grab Winifredโ€™s sleeve. But as soon as their eyes metโ€“those sharp, furious eyesโ€“Olivia jerked her hand back like sheโ€™d been burned.

โ€œWinifred, Iโ€™m being serious here! Donโ€™t you want to go back to school? Newmoor University is the top university in Vallaris,โ€ Olivia insisted, her voice rising.

Winifred rolled her eyes and asked, โ€œWhy do you think I want to go back to school?โ€

Olivia blinked, looking genuinely confused. โ€œAny normal person would want to go to school.โ€

Olivia figured that since Winifred had been expelled for all her bad behavior, getting back in was basically impossible. But Oliviaโ€™s dad was on the board of directors. If he pulled some strings, he could get Winifred back in, even if it was just into the worst class.

โ€œThen you must be seeing things. Iโ€™m not normalโ€“and keep your distance,โ€ Winifred said coolly. With her hands still in her pockets, she walked off without looking back.

Olivia was left fuming, stomping her foot in frustration. โ€œWinifred! If you pass up on me, youโ€™ll regret it for the rest of your life. You wonโ€™t get another chance, ever. Do you hear me? This is your last chance!โ€

Winifred didnโ€™t even bother turning around. โ€œSeriously, youโ€™ve got to be out of your mind.โ€

Oliviaโ€™s eyes were red with fury, but she couldnโ€™t help but feel a pang of unwillingness. She shouted, โ€œOne million! Just help me, and once itโ€™s done, one million is yours!โ€

Winifred paused for a few seconds, then gave a carefree wave of her hand. โ€œGo home. I donโ€™t do business with good girls like youโ€“way too much trouble.โ€
