Chapter 149

Olivia shot back, "I’m not some good girl. I’m not okay with this, Winifred! How could you treat me like that?"

She was completely out of options–she had no idea what else to do. Winifred was her last and only hope.

“One million! I can pay in installments–three hundred thousand upfront, as long as you help me,” Olivia pleaded desperately.

Olivia’s stubborn persistence sparked Winifred’s curiosity. She spun on her heel, turning to face Olivia, who was standing there with flushed cheeks, fists clenched, and an expression that screamed she was ready to risk everything.

“I haven’t had breakfast yet. Come on, treat me to something nice,” Winifred said casually, brushing past Olivia.

It took a moment for Olivia to process what had just happened, but then it hit her–there was hope.

She quickly grabbed her purse and hurried after Winifred. “Winifred, does this mean you’ll help me? You’re such a good person! I’ll treat you to anything you want.”

“Hold up, I never agreed to anything. First, I need to see which tier your issue falls into–A, B, or C. For A, the starting price is twenty million; for B, it’s two million; and for C, two hundred thousand,” Winifred said, her tone casual but firm.

Olivia was utterly stunned. That’s so expensive! Is she just messing with me? Isn’t she just a delinquent girl? At best, she’s just the boss of this block, Olivia thought.

“Ryan, go grab a bowl of noodles from Frankie up ahead and bring it back. You’re paying, Olivia,” Winifred said, turning to Ryan.

Olivia nodded quickly and followed Ryan. “What? A hundred bucks for a bowl of noodles?” she blurted out.

Olivia was stunned. In this shabby alley, noodles should be no more than ten bucks. A hundred bucks! This old guy really knows how to rip people off!

“If you don’t have the money, get lost,” Frankie snapped.

Olivia fumed. With a loud slap, Olivia put two hundred bucks on the counter. "Fine, make me one too. I gotta see for myself if these noodles are really worth a hundred bucks.”

Frankie snorted, grabbed the cash, and casually tossed it into a box. “Watch your mouth, girl. Even your dad has to show me some respect.”

Olivia just thought he was talking nonsense. She couldn’t believe anyone in this shabby place would know her dad.

Olivia followed Ryan to a ridiculously lavish private villa—no, scratch that, it looked more like a royal mansion, or even a palace.

She was so stunned she could barely speak. “This… this… who the heck lives here!?”

“It’s Winifred’s place. Let’s go,” Ryan said, leading the way.

Olivia trailed behind him, stepping into the grand hall, where she saw Winifred lounging in a chair, idly playing on her phone.

“Winifred, the noodles are ready,” Ryan said.

“Alright, tell the tattoo artist to hold up. Go let Laura know I’ll be there after I finish my noodles,” Winifred replied without looking up.

“Sure,” Ryan nodded.

“Well, can I sit down?” Olivia asked.

“Whatever,” Winifred replied, still focused on her phone.

“Thanks,” Olivia said, taking a seat.

After all that back-and-forth in her head, Olivia finally got what it really meant to never look down on someone–you just never know.

“Well, Winifred, is this really your place?” Olivia asked, still in disbelief.

“Yep,” Winifred replied.

“Where’s your family?” Olivia pressed.

Winifred gave her a curt look. “This is my house. I built it with my own money. What, don’t tell me you don’t have your own place?”

Chapter 119

Olivia was left speechless. Winifred’s words were like an invisible knife, instantly killing off whatever pride and confidence she had left.

“No talking at the table. Eat while it’s hot," Winifred said, picking up her bowl and taking a bite. The noodles tasted as amazing as always.

Seeing how much Winifred was enjoying it, Olivia couldn’t resist trying these noodles that cost a hundred bucks.

Just one bite, and Olivia was stunned. Wow, this is incredible! Hold on, is that... truffle! And abalone? All these luxury ingredients in a single bowl of noodles! A hundred bucks is so worth it. Totally worth every penny!

It was so delicious she couldn’t stop herself. She was completely satisfied.

“What’s with that face!?” Winifred asked, glancing over at her with a bit of annoyance.

“N–nothing, really," Olivia stammered, while eating, deciding she would never underestimate anyone again. Olivia quietly placed her purse, adorned with just two small rhinestones, in the corner. Compared to Winifred, she felt embarrassingly poor.

Olivia finished everything, leaving not a single bite behind. Even after she was done, she was still craving more and planned to go get another bowl.

“Go ahead, what do you need from me?" Winifred finally put her phone down, her gaze cool and direct.

Olivia was worried her problem might fall into a higher price range that she couldn’t afford, but she had no other choice. “Would it be okay if I paid in installments?” Olivia asked nervously, her voice barely above a whisper.

Winifred shrugged. “Okay.”

“This is all my fault. I basically invited trouble into my home. She was my junior at school, always asking for help, and we grew closer. I thought we were friends. But then she actually seduced my dad…”

“Now, because of her, my dad’s completely cut off my allowance, and she’s even pregnant. Can you help me get rid of her?” Olivia finally blurted out, her voice trembling.

Winifred’s expression remained calm, as if Olivia were talking about something trivial. “Oh? So how do you want her dealt with?” Winifred asked casually.
