Chapter 158

"Amber!" Jocelyn snarled, her voice trembling with rage.

Suddenly, a plan formed in Jocelyn's mind. She whipped out her phone and made a call. "Hey, is this Mia? It's Jocelyn. Meet me outside your school at noonโ€“I have something to discuss with you."

At noon, Jocelyn finally saw Mia arrive. She got straight to the point. "Do you hate Amber?"

Mia didn't even hesitate. "I hate her." She wanted nothing more than to see that bitch Amber gone. She was convinced Amber was the one behind everything last time, deliberately trashing her reputation and making her the center of all the school's gossip.

'Does she even realize how much she's ruined my life?' Mia thought resentfully.

"Right? I can't stand her either. How about we join forces and pull off something big? All you have to do is help me lure her out. Once it's done, I'll cut you inโ€“1.6 million bucks," Jocelyn said, her voice low and full of menace.

At the mention of that much money, Mia gasped, her eyes flashing with wariness. "What's your plan exactly?" she asked.

  1. 6 million dollars was no small amount.

Jocelyn spun the water bottle in her hand, a cold smile playing on her lips. She sneered inwardly, 'What's my plan? Well, I want to completely wipe out the Hart family in an instant.'

"Kidnapping," Jocelyn said flatly.

Mia practically jumped out of her seat, eyes wide in disbelief. "Are you insane? Kidnapping?"

'Is she nuts? Does she even realize who Amber's sister is?' Mia's heart raced with panicโ€“messing with Amber was basically asking for a death wish.

"So, are you in or not? You hate her, too, don't you? This is your shot to get even. All you have to do is help me lure her outโ€”after that, you'll stay out of it. Once it's done, I guarantee no one will ever see her again. Plus, you'll get 1.6 million dollars to keep quiet. What do you say?" Jocelyn coaxed, her tone smooth and tempting.

Jocelyn's smile grew sly, her eyes cold. "Even if someone finds out, what does it have to do with you? The whole thing is my idea. Just play dumb."

She figured her life was already a living hellโ€“might as well go for broke and make it count.

'Sienna Hart, you made my life a nightmare. Now itโ€™s your turn to suffer and regret it,' Jocelyn seethed inwardly.

"What do you want me to do?" Mia finally asked, her voice uneasy and hesitant.

Jocelyn leaned in close, whispering her plan into Miaโ€™s ear.

Later that afternoon, Sienna arrived at the party. The place was buzzing with people, glasses clinking, and lively conversations everywhere.

The gentle sea breeze brushed against her skin, bringing a cool, refreshing touch. This was the private beachfront villa community developed by Wayneโ€“a spot Nora used to bring her to all the time.

"Mr. Sinclair," Sienna called out as she walked up to Wayne, who was hosting the event, greeting him with a polite nod.

Standing next to Wayne was a womanโ€“elegant and radiant, with a graceful figure, striking features, slightly upturned eyes, and delicately arched brows.

"Hey, Sienna," Wayne said, and for once, his usually stoic face broke into a brilliant smile. He looked strikingly elegant, almost like a prince out of a storybook.

The woman beside him just stared blankly at that smile, a wave of bitterness welling up inside her. 'So he really can smile,' she thought. 'Just never at women like us!'

"Mr. Sinclair, is this yourโ€ฆ" Sienna started, but before she could even finish, Wayne jumped in, his voice loud and abrupt. "No! She's got nothing to do with me. Sienna, don't get the wrong idea."

Wayne was still very much single.

"Miss Enna, hello. Iโ€™m from Portvilleโ€“my name is Katy Harold," the woman said, her tone polite but with a hint of tension. "I just happened to stop by and say hi to Mr. Sinclair."

She wasnโ€™t cluelessโ€“it was obvious Wayne only had eyes for the woman standing in front of him.

Sienna really was gorgeous. Katy always thought she was a goddess, but next to Sienna, she just faded into the background.

From her introduction, Sienna instantly figured out who she wasโ€“Katy Harold, the daughter of the richest man in Portville. The Harold family made their fortune from the sea.

"Nice to meet you, Ms. Harold,โ€ Sienna replied, her tone polite but distant.
