Chapter 202

Calvin skimmed through the list of Leoโ€™s deeds. The items included fake meds, organ harvesting, blood draws, and experimental procedures, all dressed up as treatments for him.

Calvinโ€™s eyes went wide in disbelief. How could heโ€ฆ I thought he was just a little selfish. This is way beyond selfishness now. If this ever gets out, I'll be the one everyone spits on.

He made others think that I would stop at nothing to cure my legs, even sacrificing others' livesโ€ฆ Calvin thought, gasping for breath.

Heโ€™d trusted Leo more than anyone, and now he realized Leo had been skimming, switching, and selling off his meds. No wonder my leg never got any better all these years.

Calvin lowered his head in defeat, eyes blazing with anger and hatred for his own blindness, for letting a wolf into his home. He had no one to blame but himself.

โ€œSienna, I misjudged him. Iโ€™m sorry, this is all on me."

The Z5 serum was a token of Siennaโ€™s goodwill, yet heโ€ฆ thought Calvin.

โ€œUncle, this really isnโ€™t your fault. The one to blame is Leo. Heโ€™s cold-blooded and scheming. You donโ€™t need to carry the weight of his crimes. What matters now is making sure Leo pays for what heโ€™s done. Whether you want to call the police or not, thatโ€™s entirely up to you,โ€ Sienna said.

Her words were gentle yet carried a quiet strength, striking straight to the heart.

Calvin couldnโ€™t let a scumbag like Leo get away with this. He nodded, determination in his eyes. โ€œIโ€™m calling the police, Sienna. He has to pay for what heโ€™s done. By the way, Josef said he was going to find Leo and get the Z5 serum back, but Iโ€™m sure he didnโ€™t succeed.โ€

Siennaโ€™s lashes fluttered as she stood up and glanced back. A man in a suit, about thirty years old, was walking over.

โ€œUncle, I actually have something to take care of over there, so Iโ€™ll stop by and let Josef know on the way. You just rest. Donโ€™t worry about the Z5 serum. This doctor is someone I trust, and heโ€™s here for you. Iโ€™ve brought you a new dose of the Z5 serum, so let him give you the injection. Once your body is ready for surgery, Iโ€™ll personally make all the arrangements,โ€ Sienna said.

Calvin didnโ€™t know how to thank Sienna. He wanted to say he was sorry for troubling her so much, but Sienna just patted his shoulder.

She gave him a gentle smile. โ€œUncle, this was also my motherโ€™s last wish. She always hated that things turned so hostile between you all. But honestly, no one was really to blame back then. You were all just doing what you thought was right. So please, donโ€™t beat yourself up over it. My mom had already forgiven you long ago. She just never got the chance to say it. There are a few letters among her belongings that we couldnโ€™t open. Theyโ€™re probably meant for you. Iโ€™ll have someone bring them over later.โ€

As Sienna finished speaking, she felt as if a huge weight had finally been lifted from her heart. These were words she should have spoken ten years ago.

After Sienna left, Calvin was left alone, sobbing like a child.

Sienna took the file on Leo, her features icy and her demeanor detached. Her gaze landed on Leoโ€™s photo, a dangerous glint flashing inโ€ฆ

โ€œGo find Josef first. Heโ€™s probably in trouble,โ€ she said.

With the deal about to go down, Leo was bound to get desperate.

Siennaโ€™s guess was spot on. Josef really was in trouble.

He had just dropped off the Z5 serum at the testing center when Leo suddenly showed up, saying he needed Josefโ€™s help with something.

Josef let his guard down and didnโ€™t see it coming. Leo hit him from behind with something hard, knocking him out cold. In a daze, Josef vaguely felt himself being hauled into a car, then a sharp sting in his arm. Someone was injecting something into him.
