Chapter 184
“Noelle Betmen views, Lished with interest,” he said assuredly. “I’m quite interested in that girl now. Don’t worry, I won’t find trouble with her. I’ll be a good brother. Is that okay?”
He had heard a lot of news about Noelle even in the hospital. She was only eighteen years old, yet she had already done many shocking things. For example, she was the arranger for the most popular music group "The Legend." She had even written the famous song "The Shadows" for Reyna.
Additionally, he had heard from his family that she was a genius racer, a skilled chef, and more. She possessed extraordinary talents and seemed to master anything she set her mind to effortlessly.
When others heard of Noelle, they would likely attribute it to the Anderson family's good genes. After all, Noelle's brothers were also considered geniuses. Bennet did not deny that genes played a role, but as a doctor, especially one highly accomplished in bioengineering, Bennett could immediately tell that Noelle’s extraordinary abilities at such a young age were anything but natural.
Though it was only a suspicion, he had a strong premonition that his sister had been modified. As a genius in the medical field, Bennett was naturally aware of certain hidden truths within the industry. For instance, he knew about secret experimental institutions, unknown to the public, that were obsessed with human experimentation and dedicated to creating so-called perfect humans. Noelle's current state was closely aligned with the ideals of those secret institutions.
Moreover, Bennett had previously investigated her background. Everything before she turned ten was a complete blank. From this, he could infer that before the age of ten, Noelle had likely been confined in some unknown, mysterious experimental facility.
If that was truly the case... Noelle wasn’t just special; she was invaluable, a living embodiment of experimental success. The blood in Bennett’s body began to boil with excitement. He decided to observe Noelle during his free days.
Charlie looked at him steadily. In the dark of night, Bennett’s eyes flickered with a familiar glint. He had seen this expression on himself countless times before. It was the look that surfaced only when something truly piqued his interest. He could tell that Bennett was indeed interested in Noelle. However, it was unknown if this interest was good or bad. Based on Charlie’s experience, almost everything that Bennett was interested in in the past had been destroyed by him.
Right now, the only thing Charlie was glad about was that Bennett was a busy person and did not stay at home for long. Therefore, even if he wanted to do something to Noelle, he wouldn’t have the time.
The next morning, since there were no classes, Noelle remained at the Anderson villa. She woke up at six sharp, feeling well-rested and ready for the day. She changed into her sportswear and prepared to go for a morning run. Downstairs, she saw Bennett.
When he saw her coming down, Bennett smiled gently at Noelle and greeted her, “Noelle, good morning. Are you going for a morning jog?”
“Yup,” Noelle nodded and greeted Bennett. “Good morning, Bennett. You’re up so early.”
“Yeah, I’m used to waking up early for work,”
“Oh!” Noelle replied as she blinked and looked at Bennett.
She still couldn’t believe that Bennett actually smiled and greeted her and chatted with her naturally. It turned out that she was not dreaming last night. But she didn’t understand why Bennett suddenly acted so friendly. He wasn’t so nice to her before.
Seeing Noelle staring at him curiously, Bennett smiled and asked, “I heard you’re quite talented. Can a simple morning run really be enough to…?”
“Oh, it’s alright?” Noelle’s bodily functions were different. Her body had been fully developed long ago. Now, she only needed simple exercise to maintain it at its optimal state.
“Really! That’s good. I haven’t exercised in a long time. I’ll come with you,” Bennett suggested again.
“Aye!” Noelle was a little surprised when she heard that. Previously, whenever her brothers exercised, she had to shamelessly tag along just to join them. Bennett was the only one who had ever offered to run with her.
“Do you mind?” Bennett’s smile was impeccable, making it impossible for anyone to refuse.
Although Noelle was curious and surprised, she still shook her head and smiled at Bennett. “Of course not, Bennett. But do you want to change into…”
She glanced at the casual clothes Bennett was wearing, just some comfortable home attire. But they were clearly not suitable for exercise.
Bennett also looked at the clothes he was wearing. Then, he smiled at Noelle and said, “Alright, I’ll go change. Wait for me.”
“Okay,” Noelle nodded and waited for Bennett in the hall.
After a while, Bennett returned dressed in sportswear. He was tall; somehow, even in workout clothes, he looked exceptionally elegant. Bennett walked to Noelle’s side and smiled at her. “Let’s go, Noelle.”
“Yup,” Noelle answered.
