Chapter 0249

Miranda felt a little embarrassed. โ€œItโ€™s not something worth mentioningโ€ฆโ€

Of the years she was with Hansel, the first two were spent in college. The remaining four years were confined to the mansion, where her life revolved around him every day.

Although Hansel had used love to trap her in a cage, Miranda didnโ€™t just sit idly by during all that time inside.

Aside from taking care of Hanselโ€™s daily needs, she spent her time reading and upskilling by consciously developing various hobbies.

As their relationship gradually fizzled out and Hanselโ€™s visits home became less frequent, Miranda finally had more time for herself.

She signed up for many courses and earned numerous certificates by filling up all her free time. Miranda never forgot what her father told her when she was a child: learning should be a lifeโ€“long endeavor.

Moreover, having more skills meant having more open options for the future.

Perhaps deep down in her subconscious, she never dared to rely completely on Hansel.

After the talk, Miranda couldnโ€™t leave just yet. She had to guide the ladies in their handsโ€“on practice by brewing a pot of tea.

During her lecture, many had already started making tea following her instructions.

โ€œMs. Sutton, try my tea and see how it is.โ€

โ€œTry mine too and give some feedback.โ€

โ€œAnd mine! Test mine too!โ€

Miranda had no choice but to try everyoneโ€™s tea one by one and provide individual feedback.

When it was Peggyโ€™s turn, Miranda could smell the fragrant aroma of tea even before the lid of the teapot was lifted. She exclaimed in surprise, โ€œIs this Westlake tea?โ€

Peggy had a round face and chubby cheeks. When she smiled, she appeared warm and kind. โ€œYes, this is Westlake tea from Wind Mountain. We picked the leaves last year. Try it and see how it tastes.โ€

Miranda lifted the lid. The tea leaves were flat and smooth, while the teaโ€™s hue was bright. There was a rich aroma that wafted into her nose. It was likely topโ€“grade Westlake tea.

She was quite surprised. Most of the ladies here only came to learn the art of tea just for show or to pass the time. However, Peggy clearly knew her tea.

Miranda took a sip. The tea had a delicate fragrance and lingering aftertaste. She couldnโ€™t resist taking a second sip before praising the tea. โ€œThis is excellent tea.โ€

The tea leaves were of high quality, and her brewing technique was perfect.

Peggy beamed with happiness. โ€œOur family built our fortune by selling tea. We have a large tea plantation."
