Chapter 0253
Lilian thought, โFine. Iโll give you the massage. If anything goes wrong, it isnโt my fault anyway. Youโre the one asking for it.โ
Then, she said, โOkay, please lie down.โ
Ingrid reclined on the couch. โYou only get things done when youโre being threatened. Looks like you only learn the hard way. Honestly, youโre pathetic.โ
Lilian paused, took a deep breath, and tried to stay composed.
Ingrid continued, โDidnโt you eat dinner? Why is your pressure so light? Can you put some effort into it?โ
Lilian hesitated and replied, โOkay.โ
โUgh! I told you to use more force, not to go overboard. Are you deliberately going against me?โ
Lilian took another deep breath. โIโm sorry. Is this pressure okay?โ
โThatโs better,โ Ingrid said.
Half an hour later, Eleanor walked in with a bowl of gourmet honey. It was crystal clear with a delicate, gelatinous texture, well-made and at the right temperature. Eleanor had even added a bit of vanilla bean to give it a sweet aroma.
However, Ingrid took one bite and set her spoon down. She frowned and said, โWhat is this? Why does it taste weird? Could it be undercooked?โ
Eleanor panicked upon hearing that. โThatโs impossible. Iโve been making gourmet honey for years, which always turns out like this. Why donโt you try another bite?โ
Ingrid crossed her arms and sneered. โIf the cooking method is not the problem, then the gourmet honey must be, right?โ
โBut didnโt Mrs. Johnson say the honey she bought for you was top quality? So, did you swap it out for something cheap?โ
Eleanor was shocked by Ingridโs accusation, then quickly defended herself. โMs. York, how can you accuse me of such a thing?
โIโve worked for the Johnson family for 20 years and have always handled the honey properly. If you think Iโve done something wrong, call the police right now. I will fully cooperate.โ
At the mention of the police, Ingridโs expression changed. She knew there was nothing wrong with the gourmet honey. She just wanted to vent her frustration.
After Evelyn had scolded her earlier, Ingrid decided to take her frustrations out on Evelynโs maids in return. She felt it was fair retribution.
โWhatโs with all the noise? Itโs the middle of the night. Donโt any of you have anything better to do?โ Hansel, who had just come home reeking of alcohol, was irritated by the commotion.
Ingrid immediately switched her attitude and was no longer interested in picking on Eleanor. She smiled and approached him. โHans, youโre back? Let me get your clothes for you. Oh, I just made some gourmet honey in the kitchen-โ
Before she could finish, he shoved her aside. โDidnโt I tell you to stay away from me? Canโt you understand simple instructions?โ
He took a step back and looked at her like she was an unwanted piece of trash.
Her smile froze.
Hansel, not wanting to watch her act anymore, went straight upstairs to the master bedroom.
Ingridโs expression twisted uncontrollably for a moment. She turned, saw the two maids standing there, and snapped, โWhat are you staring at? Havenโt you seen a couple argue before? Get out of here!โ
Later, Ingrid prepared a hangover remedy in the kitchen. Just as she was about to knock on the master bedroom door, she noticed it was slightly ajar.
She pushed it open quietly and saw no one inside. But she heard the sound of running water coming from the bathroom. So, she silently placed the tray down and tiptoed toward the bathroom.
At that instant, Hansel stood under the shower, letting the water stream over his body. Suddenly, he saw a shadow.
