The next moment, Franklin received a call from Hansel's company’s legal department. They informed him that they had gathered enough evidence and reserved the right to pursue legal action against him.

They ended the call with a stern warning, telling him to behave himself or face the consequences.

Franklin was terrified.

Lucy, however, dismissed it with a wave, “What are you scared of? Lawyers are all talk. Look at you, so spineless! Keep posting! If they delete one, we’ll just post another.”

It sounded like a great plan, but reality had a different outcome. Every time they posted, the video was taken down almost immediately.

Instead of getting any compensation, Franklin had already spent 500 dollars on ads.

Lucy urged him, “Keep posting!”

“Mom! I’m out of money…” Franklin said, looking defeated.

Lucy blinked, “What?”

“How about you give me some money?”

“Uh… well, I thought about it,” she hesitated, “This isn’t going to work. We’re spending money, and the videos are taken down just as quickly. It’s just a complete waste!”

“Then what should we do?”

Lucy’s eyes flashed with an idea, “We create multiple accounts. We’ll keep posting without spending any more money.”

“Are you sure that’ll work?”

Without paid ads, there’d be no visibility. No visibility meant no attention. And without attention, how could they pressure Hansel into giving them money?

To Hansel, Lucy and Franklin’s antics were completely inconsequential.

Did they think they could use public opinion to strong-arm him? Ha, what a joke!

“Mr. Johnson, what should we do about their latest moves?” his assistant asked.

“No traction, ignore them,” Hansel replied calmly.

“Understood.”

But to say Lucy and her son’s actions were entirely futile wouldn’t be entirely accurate. They did succeed in being a nuisance to Hansel and even managed to alert the company’s public relations department.

The Johnson Group was currently under Richard’s control.

As the head of the Johnson family, Richard usually dealt with countless responsibilities, negotiating billion-dollar deals and making multi-million-dollar decisions daily. Under normal circumstances, such a minor issue would never have caught his attention.

But he had a highly efficient chief secretary.

The moment Franklin’s video went live, the secretary noticed it and immediately reported it to Richard. He alerted the public relations department to prepare a contingency plan.

Richard was fully aware of his son’s tendencies. After watching the video, he knew there was a good chance it was true. He instructed his secretary to call Hansel and order him to return to the family estate immediately.

When Hansel arrived, Evelyn stood meekly beside Richard, looking like a frightened quail. Even her breathing was cautious.

Upon hearing Hansel at the entrance, she quickly gave him a warning look, as if to say, “Be careful! Your father is in a foul mood!”

Hansel’s expression remained unchanged as he approached. “Dad,” he greeted.

Richard cast a cold glance at him, then at Evelyn. “Are you both determined to make my life more difficult? And you chose the exact moment before the shareholders’ meeting to stir up trouble?”

“Calm down, honey…” Evelyn tried to soothe him in a gentle voice. “They’re just two petty troublemakers, foolish and obnoxious. They’re incapable of causing any real problems, and this won’t affect the shareholders’ meeting…”

Richard sneered, “A fly might not kill you, but it sure is disgusting. I don’t care how you handle this—threaten them, bribe them—whatever it takes, but resolve it immediately. We can’t afford any negative publicity right now, especially before the shareholders’ meeting.”

Finally, he turned to Hansel, delivering a stern warning, “And you—keep a low profile during this time. Do you understand?!”

“…Yes,” Hansel agreed.

After reprimanding the two, Richard quickly returned to the company.

Frustrated, Hansel loosened his tie. “I told you from the start that we should keep Ingrid’s baby, but you wouldn’t listen! You insisted on keeping it. Now look at what’s happened!” he shouted.

He then added, “I’m done with this mess. You clean it up yourself!”
