Listen to this chapter:

Naturally, Winter didnโ€™t hear anything. She took a picture of the bar counter with her new phone, focusing on a wine glass hanging upside down. The background was blurred out. Then, she gave it a caption, โ€œItโ€™s a lazy afternoon, feeling bored in the summer.โ€ She hit the post button. Then, she threw her phone on the couch and got up. Barefoot, Winter walked gracefully to the bedroom. She felt like taking a nap first. The air-conditioned room was so comfortable. No wonder Miranda didnโ€™t want to go outโ€ฆ She didnโ€™t feel like going out, either. Zach had an indoor surfing session scheduled. This coach had great skills and was hard to book. Originally, he hadnโ€™t planned to go out that day. However, after thinking about it, he decided not to waste the opportunity, so he ended up going. Zach admitted that the coach was justified in being hard to book. After a few rounds with the coach, his skills had improved drastically. Zach felt like he was unstoppable at that moment. Just as he was about to take a two-minute break and surf alone, he saw Winterโ€™s post unexpectedly when he scrolled his feed on social media. โ€œItโ€™s a lazy afternoon, feeling bored in the summer.โ€ Then, Zach looked at the picture. It was just an ordinary post. There was nothing special about the picture, and the caption had a breezy tone. Most people who scrolled past this post wouldnโ€™t think much of it. At most, they might sigh and say, โ€œHer life has such a dreamy vibe.โ€ However, Zach was no ordinary person. He was a seasoned player with countless women in the game of love. The keyword in her caption was โ€œbored.โ€ The subtext was she had money, time, and had nothing to do. The poster was clearly looking for company. The other key phrase was, โ€œa lazy afternoon,โ€ with the subtext being that she needed someone to laze with her in the afternoon.

Then Zach looked at the picture. It was focused on the wine glass. Wine glasses were usually used to drink wine. The intoxicating thing about this picture was not the wine itself, but the person who was behind it! The post was clearly a blatant hint, exuding seduction with every word. Zach saw right through her intentions. โ€œThis Winterโ€ฆ Damn it!โ€ He immediately grabbed his bathrobe and threw it on before striding toward the shower rooms. The coach saw him from afar. โ€œMr. Graham, are you done practicing?โ€ โ€œYes, Iโ€™m done!โ€ โ€œDo you have something urgent?โ€ โ€œYes, itโ€™s very urgent!โ€ Zach was determined to catch her in the act.

Winter slept until 3:00 pm. She got up and stretched lazily, feeling refreshed. She walked to the living room and picked up her phone from the couch. She was ready to see who had picked up on her hint. Sure enough, there were a few who took the bait. โ€œIโ€™m also bored. Want to grab a drink?โ€ โ€œYou seem quite free lately. Good timing, same here.โ€ โ€œIโ€™m on my way.โ€ โ€œThe password hasnโ€™t changed, right?โ€ Winter smiled with satisfaction. She wouldnโ€™t be bored now. However, she had waited for a long time. Two hours had passed since the first message she received, and yet no one knocked on her door. What was going on? Winter waited for another ten minutes and poured herself a glass of iced water in the meantime. However, she still didnโ€™t hear a knock at the door. She went to the entrance and opened the door, wondering if the doorbell was out of battery. Suddenly, a figure jumped up. โ€œWhat the!โ€ Winterโ€™s hand jerked, and she nearly dropped the glass. โ€œZach, are you out of your mind?โ€ What kind of person would crouch outside someone elseโ€™s door? He suddenly sprang up when she opened the door, like a ghost appearing out of nowhere. It was terribly frightening! Zach stared at her intensely with a darkened gaze. Winter felt a chill run down her spine. โ€œWhatโ€ฆ?โ€ โ€œWhen did you change the password?โ€ Zach demanded. The password was working fine the last time he came. However, this time, it was incorrect. Winter looked baffled. โ€œI changed it after you used it last time.โ€ โ€œWhy?โ€ โ€œCome on, Iโ€™m a woman living alone. Do you really think Iโ€™d just let people know the password to my door so easily? That would mean anyone could come in whenever and do whatever they pleased. Do you think Iโ€™m that stupid?โ€ she replied. The internet was full of videos teaching women living alone how to protect themselves.
