Chapter 185 Grandma Elena

People around pointed and gossiped about Zachary. His face was unusually distressed, forcing him to quickly enter his car. At that moment, Jonathan, hidden in a secluded corner of the classroom, observed the scene. Seeing Zachary remain, Jonathan worried. Zachary's meticulous nature had even led him to the preschool. Jonathan, unaware of Zachary's paternal feelings, believed the man sought revenge. He felt momentarily paralyzed, realizing he could only avoid the inevitable for so long.

Lost in thought, his phone rangโ€”Vivian. He answered immediately. "Ms. Kennedy."

"Hey, rascal, where are you? I'm at the school entrance, but I can't see you." Vivian stood at the preschool gate, scanning the area.

Jonathan spotted her as soon as she arrived; the bodyguards searching for him, their expressions unfriendly, had already left. He dashed out. "I'm here."

Vivian looked at him, puzzled. "Why weren't you waiting for me at the school gate?"

"Ms. Kennedy, that man from last time came againโ€ฆ" Jonathan looked at her pitifully, his gaze directed toward the nearby luxury car.

Inside, Zachary frowned and instructed the driver, "Drive." The driver hesitated, the area being a school zone teeming with children. As the car started, a womanโ€”Vivian, with an innocent look and a bit of baby fat, strutting in her high heelsโ€”stormed toward them. Her hand landed firmly on the car window, confronting Zachary.

"Mr. Zachary, what exactly are you trying to do?"

Zachary, momentarily speechless, observed her upset demeanor.

"Can you, as an adult, really feel good about yourself for picking on a child?" Vivian warned. "If I catch you bothering my son again, you'll find yourself behind bars."

Without waiting for a reply, she turned and led Jonathan away. Jonathan glanced back at Zachary's car, a smirk playing on his lips. He seemed to have discovered Zachary's weakness. Inside the car, the temperature felt as if it had dropped. Harassment? Jail? Zachary, baffled, stared at his son. How had he ended up accused of such things? His handsome face flushed and paled. "Why aren't you driving!" he snapped.

The driver promptly started the car.

As Vivian led Jonathan toward her car, two figures stood nearbyโ€”Elena and her secretary. Since seeing Jonathan, Elena, using Felix as an excuse, had visited him whenever possible. That day, she surprisingly encountered Jonathan's mother and approached her.

"Are you Jon's mother?" Elena asked, striding forward. Over fifty, she appeared much younger due to her excellent self-care.

Vivian, having just dealt with Zachary, was unprepared for another confrontation. Elena hadn't been kind to Cecilia in the past. Vivian responded coolly, "And what if I am?"

Elena's face stiffened. Her secretary started to intervene, but Elena stopped her, flashing a gentle smile that left Vivian baffled. Vivian had seen Elena a few times but never smiled.

"Jon is just too adorable. I wanted to ask if it's possible for him to accompany Felix on a visit to the Rainsworth residence for a few days?" Elena, smitten with Jonathan, had humbled herself.

Vivian, however, scoffed. "No way. I won't let my son go to an unfamiliar place. What if he encounters someone with ill intentions?" She then looked meaningfully at Jonathan.

Jonathan responded with grace. "Goodbye, Grandma Elena."
