Chapter 360: Keep in Touch

Seeing Vivian as the daughter of a powerful man, Greta believed it advantageous for her son to maintain contact with her.

Cecilia, having made up her mind, spoke frankly, disregarding Ernest and his mother's dignity. "Oh, I see. You're quite the devoted mother, aren't you? Even with your son's marriage, you're still seeking potential mistresses for him. Does your future daughter-in-law know about this?" Before Greta could reply, Cecilia continued, "Vivian attended the wedding out of curiosity, not lingering affection for your son. She simply wanted to see how a family like yours could ruin such a good woman."

Cecilia then turned to Ernest, her gaze cold. "Mr. Ernest, the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Allowing your mother to speak thuslyโ€”do you truly believe you deserve the title of attorney?"

Before Cecilia's arrival, she was unaware of Bastian and Greta's true natures; she simply perceived Ernest as heartless.

Hearing Cecilia's words, Ernest addressed his mother. "Mom, stop it. Heidi is the only woman for me; I will only ever love her."

Standing behind Cecilia, Vivian, upon hearing this, felt like a fool. She remembered a past encounter with Ernest in a dilapidated hotel, where he had held her and said, "I solemnly swear that in this lifetime, I will only be with you, and only love you, Vivian." She fought back the urge to question him.

Greta, ever loyal to her son, glared at Cecilia, muttering, "My son is exceptional. What's wrong with him having several women? Which boss these days has only one? Some people just can't accept reality. Without my son, who would want a promiscuous woman like her?" Greta knew Vivian and Ernest had been intimate.

Hearing this, Cecilia grabbed Greta. "What did you say? I dare you to repeat that." Cecilia's sharp gaze silenced Greta. "I warn you, utter one more foul word, and I'll rip your mouth apart!"

Greta, startled, turned to her son. "Ernest, what kind of people did you invite?"

"Mom, stop it. You and Dad should rest," Ernest said angrily.

Greta refused to leave. If her son wouldn't defend her, she would. "Did I say something wrong? Vivian slept with my son. If she's not promiscuous, what is she? And who would want her if she weren't wealthy?"

Despite the attention, Greta remained undeterred and unapologetic. "Vivian, you're in your late twenties without a boyfriend. It's abnormal. No wonder my son broke up with you."

Cecilia slapped Greta, who fell to the ground, wincing. Ernest immediately rushed to help her. "How could you strike an elder, Cecilia?" He then turned to Vivian. "Vivian, did you come here to ruin my wedding?"

Vivian stood frozen, trembling. Greta's words felt like daggers. She was speechless.

Then, Jonathan stepped forward, standing before Vivian. "None of you are allowed to bully my mommy! Who said nobody wants my mommy? My daddy is the most influential man in all of Tudela!"

"Mommy?" Ernest stared at Vivian, his cold demeanor cracking in disbelief.
