Chapter 523 Looks Familiar
โNo wonder Jonathan looked so familiar. Heโs Nathanielโs son,โ Zachary said, remembering Nathanielโs childhood resemblance to Jonathan.
Vivian felt annoyed. When did I ever say the child was Nathaniel's? She remained silent, unwilling to risk an investigation by Zachary.
โWhen are you returning the child?โ Zachary asked, raising an eyebrow. โGrandpa adores Jonathan. If he learns the truth, do you think he won't banish you?โ
He assumed Vivian would be frightened, believing the Kennedy family depended on the Sinclairs. To his surprise, Vivian yawned. โThat would be wonderful, actually. I don't want to marry you anyway.โ Her only concern was George's disappointment.
Zachary was speechless. โIn any case, don't tell Grandpa. We'll proceed slowly,โ he said seriously.
โMm. We agree on that.โ
At Rainsworth Manor, a still-shaken Elliot had just finished dressing. What kind of friend does my scoundrel father have? The man had burst into his nursery, shocked to see him, then mentioned Jonathan.
โEli, were you scared?โ Cecilia asked anxiously.
Not wanting to worry her, Elliot shook his head. โNo, but he was really weird.โ
โIโm glad youโre fine. Avoid him in the future,โ Cecilia said, still feeling uneasy. She feared Zachary might act rashly, given the children's resemblance.
After dressing Elliot and tidying up, Cecilia sent Nathaniel back to Daltonia Villa. Elena, reluctant to let Elliot go, showered them with gifts.
โEli, visit Grandma in a few days,โ Elena said.
Looking at her kind face, Elliot politely replied, โIf Mommy comes, then I will.โ
Elenaโs expression faltered. Glancing at Cecilia, she said formally, โTake good care of the child and be mindful of your pregnancy.โ
โMm,โ Cecilia replied lightly.
Watching them drive away, Elena asked her secretary, โThe DNA test results?โ She was growing impatient. If both children were Nathanielโs, she wouldn't let Cecilia raise them.
The secretary shook her head. โNot yet.โ
โTell them to hurry.โ
โYes.โ
When Ceciliaโs family returned to Daltonia Villa, the security guard told them someone had visited.
โWho?โ
โA tall, thin young man who said he was your younger brother, Mrs. Rainsworth.โ
Cecilia had blocked Magnus, forcing him to visit in person.
Elliot asked, โMommy, is that your brother?โ
Cecilia nodded. Blood ties were undeniable. She asked the guard what Magnus wanted. He'd just lingered at the entrance before leaving.
Worried her brother might involve the children, Cecilia decided to meet him.
โCecilia, I thought youโd never speak to me again.โ
โPick a place. Letโs meet,โ Cecilia said coolly.
