Chapter 580 No Way It Could Be His

Ultimately, Cecilia was pregnant. After kicking Miranda, she staggered back, but a bodyguard steadied her. Miranda, unaccustomed to being kicked, lost her composure and lunged toward Cecilia, ready for a fight. Fortunately, a bodyguard intervened. Although Adrian's men were less imposing than Daltonia Villa's bodyguards, their sheer numbers prevented Cecilia and Elliot from leaving immediately.

Just then, someone arrived carrying Felix, stiff and his face a ghastly purple-blue from the cold. "Madam, we've found Mr. Felix. He was in the artificial hill," they announced. Felix was severely hypothermic. Miranda, forgetting Cecilia, rushed to her son. "Felix, how are you?" she asked.

Felix shivered violently, unable to speak coherently. Miranda only managed to decipher a few words: "This isโ€ฆ that unwanted child'sโ€ฆ faultโ€ฆ" She whirled around, intending to confront Cecilia and Elliot, but they had already left for the hospital.

Adrian, witnessing his son's condition, was enraged. "Damn it! Once Grandpa arrives, we must seek justice!" he exclaimed. The children were taken to the hospital, one after the other. Niel, a nearby resident, arrived first, followed by others.

Tears streaming down her face, Miranda explained to Niel how Elliot had imprisoned Felix and left him to freeze. "Grandpa, Felix can barely speak! You must stand up for him! He's been raised under your care since childhood, unlike someโ€ฆquestionable Rainsworth family members."

Cecilia, preoccupied with Elliot's well-being, ignored Miranda. Niel, despite his previous scoldings, had always cherished Felix as his favorite great-grandson. He empathized with Miranda. While Felix lacked Elliot's maturity, their close bond was undeniable. "All right, I will definitely stand up for Felix," he declared.

The old man approached Cecilia. "Cecilia, apologize to Adrian and Miranda."

Cecilia, recalling Miranda's role in Elliot's worsening condition, glared icily. "Why should I apologize? Based on their one-sided story?" Niel was speechless.

Cecilia continued, "Old Mr. Rainsworth, did you ask them why Felix went to Daltonia Villa after school instead of home?"

This prompted Niel's recollection of Felix's usual security detailโ€”a driver and bodyguard. How had he been allowed to enter Daltonia Villa alone?

Cecilia explained, "On the way to the hospital, Elliot told me Felix brought two children to beat him up. Elliot's always been frail. Even Miranda's earlier shove worsened his condition. So, Elliot pretended to agree, letting Felix enter. Since he couldn't win, he ran. Who knew Felix would get lost in the artificial hill while chasing him?"

Niel was uncertain. However, Adrian and Miranda had a prepared counter-argument. "Grandpa, there's something I need to tell you," Adrian said.

"What is it?" Niel asked, confused.

"Elliot isn't a Rainsworth. He's the son of a man named Calvin Reese," Adrian revealed, presenting investigative documents. "Grandpa, remember Cecilia's account of Elliot's birthdate? Unless she was pregnant for thirteen or fourteen months, he can't be Nathaniel's son."
