Chapter 608: Cheating Elliot

As a father, Nathaniel was naturally concerned about his son's safety. He believed that, with careful planning, there was little difference between Elliot attending school and staying home.

Hearing this and recalling the hopeful look in Elliot's eyes, Cecilia relented. "All right," she said. Clenching her fists, she added, "Please, don't let anything happen to him."

Nathaniel pursed his lips. "They are my sons. Of course I won't let anything happen to them."

That night, Nathaniel ate little at dinner. Returning to his room, he chain-smoked. He'd been unusually irritable these past few days. Though happy Jonathan and Elliot were his sons, the thought of Cecilia leaving with their children and living with another man fueled his anger.

Meanwhile, Elliot and Jonathan talked in their room.

"This can't go on," Elliot said. "I need to talk to Daddy and convince him to take the initiative."

Jonathan stopped him. "What?" Elliot asked, puzzled.

"You want them to be together because of us? Does that mean Mommy has to sacrifice her happiness?" Jonathan asked.

Elliot lay back, pouting. "You don't get it. I think they both have feelings for each other. They're just being stubborn."

Next door, Cecilia went to bed early. Tomorrow was the weekend, and she had a parents' association gathering to attend. She wasn't sure what to pack.

The next morning, she left the children in the housekeeper's care. Nathaniel stayed home to tutor them. Jonathan's studies progressed smoothly. Elliot, though bright, struggled with advanced mathematics.

"Daddy, are you sure Jon and I can do this?" Elliot asked, worried.

Nathaniel gave him a cold glance. "Of course. I could do this at your age. Let me know your answers." Since he was blind, he needed a verbal response.

"You're bluffing," Elliot said skeptically. Seeing the paper filled with calculations and answers, he thought, I can't do this, but I can copy Jon's answers.

He was about to peek when the housekeeper warned, "Eli, no peeking." Nathaniel, being blind, had asked her to supervise.

Elliot looked away, displeased. Jonathan chuckled. "You're silly. Haven't you noticed our test questions are different?"

Elliot examined the questions again. They were indeed different. That cunning scumbag daddy, he thought.

Jonathan quickly finished and read his answers. He scored a perfect hundred. When it was Elliot's turn, he sighed. "Scumbag Daddy, you didn't forget I never went to school, did you?"

Nathaniel sneered. "Do you really think Jon's preschool teaches advanced math?"

Elliot was speechless. You're ruthless, he thought.

"Give me your hand!" Nathaniel snapped.

Elliot offered his hand, pleading, "Daddy, go easy on me." He'd abandoned "scumbag daddy" in hopes of mercy.

He quickly withdrew his hand before Nathaniel could strike, snickering. It hadn't hurt.

But before his smugness could settle, Nathaniel lifted him and spanked him.

The housekeeper filmed this "heartwarming" moment and sent it to Cecilia. In her car, a subtle smile touched Cecilia's lips as she watched. She arrived at a restaurant near the kindergarten, following the provided address.
