Chapter 103: Slap Him Twice

Divine looked back, her eyes meeting Olive's bright gaze. Olive gently held her hand and said, "Divine, I believe in you."

A warm current flowed through Divine's heart as she froze for a moment. "Olive, it really wasn't me. Greg isn't telling the truth."

"I know," Olive replied, releasing her hand to approach Greg.

The crowd subtly retreated as Olive walked toward Greg, curiosity piqued by her actions. Pamela watched intently, anticipating another of Olive's supposed "tricks."

The pharmacy door opened, revealing a manโ€”the perpetually sleepy oneโ€”and his subordinate.

The subordinate began respectfully, "Second Young Master..." but the man raised a hand, silencing him.

Olive glared at Greg, her clear eyes radiating a cold intensity. "Team leader Greg, I've seen shameless people, but you surpass them all. Apologize to Divine."

"Apologize to Divine?" Greg erupted in laughter. "Olive, who do you think you are? Why should I listen to you? Mind your own business!"

Olive's eyes darkened. Swiftly, she raised her foot and kicked Greg's knee. He hadn't anticipated her attack, her speed and precision leaving him wincing in pain.

Stunned silence filled the pharmacy. Before Greg could react to his initial yell, "Olive, you!," Olive kicked his other knee. With a thud, he knelt, his legs buckling beneath him.

The previous chatter vanished, leaving an unnerving quiet.

Olive looked coldly at Greg, then turned to Divine. "We were bitten by a dog. Do you want to reason with it?"

Divine shook her head vehemently. "Of course not."

Olive's gaze was serious as she briefly pursed her lips. "Do you want to slap him? Go ahead."

Anger contorted Greg's face as he attempted to rise, but Olive swiftly placed a hand on his shoulder, subtly inserting a silver needle into his neck. His body instantly weakened; the strength drained from his limbs.

"Divine, hit him!" Olive commanded.

Normally, Divine wouldn't dare strike Greg, but with Olive's support, she found unexpected resolve. Fiercely, she raised her hand and slapped him.

A resounding slap echoed through the silent pharmacy, leaving half of Greg's face stinging.

"Greg, this slap is for all the slander and humiliation you've inflicted upon me. I would never hurt Olive; you did this to yourself!" Divine raised her hand again, delivering another sharp slap. "I'm informing you officially: I am not in love with you!" she yelled.

Shock rippled through the onlookers. The previously embarrassed Divine now exuded confidence and a newfound strength, a transformation that stunned everyone.

Pamela froze, utterly unprepared for Olive's forceful intervention. She spotted Director Hudson approaching and quickly smiled, muttering, "Director Hudson, you're here. Olive, stop. The cheating rumors are already spreading; inciting Divine to assault Greg is not going to help."

Olive, holding Divine's hand, stepped back, leaving the incapacitated Greg. Director Hudson stormed in, his fury fueled by the existing chaos surrounding Olive's cheating scandal and now this public humiliation of Greg.

"Olive, where do you think you are? Do you want me to kick you out of this institute?!" he roared. While wanting to reprimand both women, his authority felt weak.

Divine stepped forward, accepting responsibility. "Director Hudson, this escalated because of me. I hit Greg. I will explain myself to the dean."

Director Hudson frowned, Divine's status making a harsh reprimand difficult.

Olive pulled Divine behind her, stepping forward to face the director. "Director Hudson, this issue is directed at me, so I'll take full responsibility."

Director Hudson snorted. "Olive, come to my office!"

Pamela's heart soared; she was sure Olive was about to be expelled.

Olive, facing the director, stated bravely, "Director Hudson, I'll go to your office, but Greg's issue remains unresolved. Let's address that first!"

Everyone's expressions shifted. Director Hudson turned to Olive, "Olive, you've practically paralyzed him. What else do you want?"

Olive scoffed. "Director Hudson, yesterday Greg stole Divine's phone and threw it on the highway. Hasn't he violated her privacy and threatened her safety? I'm calling the police!"
