Chapter 186: Twins for Mr. Augustine
Everyone stared at Pamela in shock. She had gained admission to Holy Nile Academy through back channels, while Olive had received a personal invitation from the principal.
Reporters thrust microphones at Pamela. "Pamela, your medical skills are superficial, your qualifications fraudulent. What do you say?" Another reporter asked Monica, "Were you aware your daughter gained admission through favoritism, not merit?" Mr. Hart was also questioned, "Is Pamela still the daughter you're proud of?"
Patrick and Monica were speechless. Embarrassed by the relentless cameras, they felt like vanishing. Monica finally muttered, "That's enough!" covering her face.
Pamela froze, numb. Years of striving to climb the social ladderโbecoming LA's top socialite and graduating from Holy Nile Academyโhad seemed to launch her life. But her hard work proved futile, her carefully constructed world crumbling before her eyes. Seeing the reporters' ridicule, she screamed, "Go away! I'm not granting any interviews! Stay away from me!"
Dean Sebastian approached Olive. "Olive, the press conference is over. Let's go to the business room and discuss the surgery plan." Olive looked at Pamela without remorse. Since arriving in Los Angeles, she had vowed to repay her family for their past cruelty.
Marvin, quietly observing, joined them. His usually cold eyes softened as they rested on Olive. Bounty smiled, "Olive, you probably didn't know Marvin also graduated first-class from Imperial University. Like you, he received a scholarship at thirteen, though he didn't pursue a doctorate. You broke his medical record."
Dean Sebastian added, "Olive, Marvin's still your senior. Fate brought you both together again."
Olive learned that Marvin was her senior at Imperial Medical University, and she had surpassed his record. This explained the warmth and surprise in his gaze. Young, handsome, and always top of his class, he looked impeccably dressed in a white shirt.
Reporters immediately focused on Olive and Marvin. "So, Academician Marvin and Olive attended the same university! No wonder you rescued that man on the street." "People online say you two would be a perfect match if Olive weren't married."
Bounty, also seeing their potential, wished Elvis weren't in the picture. She'd noticed Elvis standing at the back of the hall; his mental instability and volatile nature worried her. If Olive saw his monstrous side, she would be terrified.
A chill swept through the reporters as they saw Elvis. His dark face and cold eyes fixed on Olive and Marvin. Fearful, they wanted to flee.
Olive seemed oblivious. Few knew Elvis had left Imperial City young, or that Bounty was his aunt.
A reporter handed Olive a microphone. "Olive, your future plans?"
Olive paused, then answered, "My hope is simple: to pursue my medical career and become as good as Academician Marvin."
Marvin smiled. Bounty sighed contentedly. Olive continued, her voice shy and joyful, "Besides my career, I want to hold onto my love. I want two babies for my Mr. Augustine."
