Chapter 185: Olive Is Really Terrifying

Patrick and Monica, unable to wait any longer, stood and confronted Olive. "Olive, there's no need to lie anymore," Patrick began mockingly. "Do you know how much it costs to study at Imperial? I've never given you a cent, so where did you get the money?"

"How could you study without money? Your story is full of holes!" Monica added.

Olive looked at them, a light chuckle escaping her lips. "Oh, so you know you've never given me a penny? Yes, you're right, it's expensive to study at a university. You both have firsthand knowledge of this cost, especially considering your daughter Pamela's university educationโ€”and her studies outside America. That must have cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars."

Patrick and Monica fell silent, unprepared for this turn of events. Reporters immediately turned their microphones towards them. "Patrick, that was cruel," one reporter stated. "You have two daughters; why did you only send Pamela to university?"

Olive scoffed. "Mr. and Mrs. Hart, child neglect is a crime. Should I press charges?"

Fear gripped Patrick and Monica. They knew the potential consequences of Olive filing charges. Olive's eyes flashed coldly. "You both should shut up and sit down," she commanded.

Patrick and Monica, instantly subdued, slumped back into their chairs. They had lost.

Pamela clenched her fist, surprised by Olive's swift handling of her parents. "Olive, don't change the subject," she insisted. "Answer my question!"

Olive's calm gaze met Pamela's. "I haven't even taken the high school final examination."

The revelation that Olive hadn't even taken her high school graduation exam sent a ripple through the room. Pamela's face lit up with glee. Olive addressed the crowd, her eyes finally settling on Pamela's jubilant expression.

"Isn't it amazing? I didn't take my final exams, nor the entrance exam, because I was sent to Imperial Medical University at the age of thirteen."

Silence fell over the hall. Everyone stared, stunned.

"And I didn't get my double postdoctoral degree at twenty," Olive continued, her words met with gasps of astonishment. "I got it at fifteen."

"And Mr. Hart," she added, smiling proudly at the embarrassed couple, "I didn't pay for my studies. I received a scholarship to Imperial University. I didn't spend a cent."

"I received my double postdoctoral degree at fifteen," she explained, "but the university wouldn't let me go, so I stayed for three years. And guess what happened during those three years? I rescued a man on the street in Imperial, and then returned to Los Angeles to marry Mr. Augustine."

The hall remained silent. Pamela felt her world crumble. Olive wasn't just a high school graduate; she was a fifteen-year-old postdoctoral degree holder.

Patrick and Monica's faces were ashen. Was this still the Olive they knew?

Dean Sebastian, satisfied, coughed. "Now that everyone knows Olive's qualifications, I'm honored to have her here. This concludes the press conference. Thank you."

The press conference ended, but the interviews continued. The crowd surged towards Olive. Bounty approached, muttering proudly, "Olive, congratulations. You deserved this spotlight long ago."

"Thank you, Aunt," Olive replied, laughing sweetly.

Reporters quickly turned to Bounty. "Principal Augustine, you know Olive? Did you know about her qualifications beforehand?"

Bounty nodded elegantly. "Olive is such a talented medical professional, how could I not? The year Olive graduated at fifteen, I personally invited her as the first Los Angeles citizen to Holy Nile Academy, but she felt it was too far from home, so she refused."

"Principal Augustine, wasn't Pamela the first Los Angeles citizen invited to Holy Nile?"

Pamela watched with venomous jealousy. Bounty, noticing her, turned to the camera. "No, Olive was the first. As for Pamelaโ€ฆ someoneโ€”a loverโ€”pushed for her, and I accepted her as a favor."
