Chapter 248: Whoโs She?
A moment of silence hung in the air. Finally, the man in black asked, โSir, should we continue following them?โ
โNo need,โ Alpha replied calmly. โLetโs return to Imperial.โ
โYes, sir.โ

Dean Sebastian was shocked to find Olive near death. โOlive, whatโs wrong?โ he asked, checking her pulse. โYouโve been poisoned, and itโs spread throughout your body. If your heart fails, not even God can save you.โ
Olive knew her condition. Only the treasure box her mother left behind could save her. โDean Sebastian,โ she whispered weakly, โdonโt worry about me. Please get the treasure box. I want to try.โ
Dean Sebastian quickly retrieved the box and placed it before her. Olive extracted a silver needle from her hair and inserted it into the lock. She had failed at the third level before, a realm beyond her current medical skill. However, since acquiring her motherโs medical book, she had been studying diligently, sensing an impending breakthrough.
Closing her eyes and blocking out all distractions, Olive focused on the profound acupuncture techniques within the book, slowly piecing them together. She had entered another realm.
With a click, the lock yielded. She had passed the final level. The treasure box opened.
Dean Sebastianโs eyes shone with admiration. Looking at the twenty-year-old girl, he nodded in satisfaction. โOlive, congratulations! Youโve truly entered a deeper medical realm.โ
Despite her condition, a smile touched Oliveโs lips. She lowered the needle and cautiously opened the box. Inside lay a second medical book and a small brocade box.
Olive slowly opened the second book. The acupuncture techniques were even more intricate than the first, their power palpable. It felt as if this volume had been created just for her; she felt she had acquired a priceless treasure.
โOlive,โ Dean Sebastian said, โsince youโve opened the first box, you should seek the second.โ
Oliveโs eyelashes fluttered. โA second treasure box?โ she asked incredulously.
โYes,โ Dean Sebastian confirmed. โItโs in Imperial, at the Academy of Sciences. However, entry isnโt easy. Youโll need to find a way in to retrieve it.โ
The Imperial Academy of Sciences was the pinnacle of medical expertise. Its medical elites were all esteemed, elderly academicians; Marvin being the youngest. Gaining entry and acceptance was exceedingly difficult.
Chapter 245:
โMiss Olive, hurry and open this box!โ Mrs. Kathy urged impatiently.
Olive nodded and opened it, revealing a black pill.
โWhat sort of pill is this?โ Mrs. Kathy asked curiously.
Dean Sebastian answered, โWhen I obtained the treasure box, I sensed a medicinal herb, though I couldnโt identify it. The scent was calming and divine. If my master kept it, it must be rare.โ
โOlive, given your poisoning, why not try this pill?โ Dean Sebastian suggested.
Neither Olive nor Dean Sebastian could identify the herb. It was likely a rare, precious herb, undocumented in medical history; perhaps it could save her life.
โMiss Olive, take it quickly before your heart gives out!โ Mrs. Kathy urged frantically.
Olive took the pill. Soon, she closed her eyes and collapsed.
Mrs. Kathy panicked, kneeling to shake Olive. โMiss Olive? Miss Olive?โ
Dean Sebastian rushed forward, placing Olive on a chair and checking her pulse. There was nothing. She was dead.
Dean Sebastian was stunned. He stumbled back, murmuring, โHowโฆ?โ
Mrs. Kathy checked for breath. There was none. She fell to the ground, weeping. She couldnโt believe Olive was gone.
โDean, save her! She canโt die!โ Mrs. Kathy pleaded, her gaze fixed on Dean Sebastian.
Dean Sebastian, weak and heartbroken, shook his head.
Suddenly, Mrs. Kathy exclaimed, โDean, look!โ
Dean Sebastian looked up, witnessing the most shocking sight of his life. Olive, still on the chair, was slowly regaining color; her icy skin returning to its normal temperature. More astonishingly, her entire body glowed like a pearl in the darkness.
โDean, whatโs happening?โ Mrs. Kathy whispered, dumbfounded.
Dean Sebastian stepped closer, intently observing Olive. He had witnessed something similar before โ his master, Joyce, had once revived a man in this manner.
Dean Sebastian stared at Olive, stunned. โWho is she?โ he wondered.
Elvis felt as if heโd awakened from a long dream. His eyes opened slowly. He recognized his room in the Red Villa.
He sat up, struggling to recall his dream, but his memory was blank.
โElvis, youโre awake. How are you feeling?โ
He looked to his side; his grandmother, Mrs. Samantha, was there. Their eyes met โ hers filled with love and concern.
โGrandma, Iโm fine,โ Elvis replied, turning his neck.
The old lady nodded, murmuring distractedly, โThatโs good.โ
โGrandma, whatโs wrong?โ Elvis noticed her distress; her eyes were red, as if sheโd been crying.
The room was silent. His grandmother seemed much older. She stepped forward, extending her arms to hug him. โLet me hug you for her.โ
Elvis didn't understand. โGrandma, whoโs โsheโ?โ he asked, confused.
Mrs. Samantha shook her head, tears in her eyes. โYour father is here, Elvis. Itโs time to return to Imperial.โ
