Chapter 283

You have to ask your fiancรฉ about this! The Bright Star students, under Crystal's leadership, were arrogant. Everyone knew the Augustines and Roberts were engaged, and Elvis had even escorted Crystal to school. Their engagement, coupled with Crystal's presence, fueled their confidence. Alicia and Jimmy were furious, but they also knew Elvis, the powerful and enigmatic Augustine family president, was beyond their reach.

"Olive, don't listen to them," a Watson student said. "We all know you tried your best. It's okay if we couldn't get the surveillance video. We can find another way."

"That's right, Olive," another added. "Let's report the case now, and we'll definitely find the culprit."

Olive's clear eyes fixed on Crystal's face. Raising her eyebrows, she asked, "Who said I couldn't get the surveillance video?" A USB flash drive rested in her small hand. Jason and the others saw it, their expressions shifting dramatically. Crystal, too, was surprised. Hurriedly approaching, she demanded, "Where did you get this USB? Show me!"

Crystal reached for it, but Olive held it out of reach. "Crystal, what are you doing? What do you want with it?" Olive's gaze swept across the Bright Star students. "Weren't you arrogant just now? Now you're speechless? Are you guilty?"

Panic, shame, and worry flickered across Jason and the others' faces. They looked to Crystal for help. "Crystal, what happened? Isn't President Augustine your future fiancรฉ? Why was the video given to Olive? Was he helping her against us?"

Crystal clenched her fist, staring at the USB. "Olive, that USB must be fake. Elvis wouldn't give you the surveillance video. You're lying!"

Olive met Crystal's gaze, her expression calm and serene, a bright smile playing on her lips. "You have to ask your future fiancรฉ how I obtained the video."

Crystal dug her fingernails into her palm. Her eyes fell on Olive's swollen, red lipsโ€”lips mirroring Elvis's. A realization dawned. They had kissed! Crystal studied Olive's delicate face, her sparkling, pure yet alluring eyesโ€”eyes that captivated men. Crystal understood now: Elvis's interest in Olive was a purely physical one. Olive had actively pursued him, throwing herself into his arms. Images flooded Crystal's mindโ€”images of intimacy in places unknown to herโ€” igniting a burning jealousy within her.

Chapter 284

Crystal fell silent. Jason and the others stared at the USB, their panic intensifying. Olive, recognizing her success, turned to Watson's basketball players. "Guys, I have the USB. The surveillance video will expose the culprits. But if we delay, the match will end. We'll win without playing; that's no fun."

"I suggest we withhold the USB's contents for now and start the match. Captain Jimmy is injured and can't play. Are you confident in winning the championship?"

The Watson team, recently victims of unfair refereeing, felt invigorated by Olive's words. Their faces flushed with renewed spirit. "Yes! We're confident!"

"Olive, we'll listen to you. Let's beat them on the court first!" Alicia grabbed Olive's arm. "Olive tried her best for us. Let's work hard and unite!"

Jimmy spoke: "Count me in. I'll play."

Olive protested, "No, your armโ€ฆ"

"Olive, I only broke my right arm. I'll guide them. With me, they have backbone. I'll be careful," Jimmy promised.

Olive nodded. "Okay. Let's do this together!" They linked hands, cheering in unison. In contrast to Watson's fervor, Bright Star was listless. The referee's whistle blew; they entered the arena, burdened by their anxieties.

The match began. Olive watched. Despite Jimmy's injury, Watson's teamwork led to quick points. The audience cheered, noting Jimmy's injured arm and praising his determination. "Watson is energetic, more radiant than Bright Star!" "Maybe Watson isn't as bad as we thought."

Principal Harris observed without intervention, hoping to foster their growth through frustration. Approaching Olive, he smiled softly. "Olive, is the USB in your hand fake?"

Olive watched Watson score, nodding. "Yes, it's fake."

"Girl, you tricked Bright Star with a fake USB! They're panicking. This is where our team spirit shines! Olive, your trick is amazing!"

Olive licked her lips, a cold glint in her eyes. "They sent people to hurt our captain. If I don't hit back, will they be satisfied?"

Mr. Harris gazed at Olive. Twenty years old, the wind dancing through her hair, she possessed an undeniable elegance and captivating spirit. A wonderful girl, he mused, capable of changing Watson.

The audience roared. Jimmy, using his left arm, made a perfect final shot. The referee's whistle sounded: Watson, with a score of 43-21, had crushed Bright Star, claiming victory.
