Chapter 284: Looks Like He's Seen Her Somewhere

The champion of the basketball match was Watson! "Bravo!" The Watson School students surged onto the court, their faces alight with excitement and joy. Students from other universities in the auditorium also rose to their feet, applauding warmly. The jury announced the winners, and the captains of the three major universities took the stage to receive their awards. Jimmy accepted the championship trophy and flowers.

The presenter handed Jimmy the microphone. "Captain Jimmy, Watson has been runner-up for years. What was your biggest motivation this year?"

Jimmy raised the trophy, smiling. "Because this year, Watson has the best cheer team! We're the championship team. We want to tell everyone: Watson is the best, and the people of Watson are the best!" His words resonated with the crowd, eliciting thunderous applause. "Watson! Watson! Watson!"

The years of Bright Star's dominance were now a distant memory. Vice Principal Baker's face was grim. He couldn't believe Watson had captured the hearts of the audience. He turned to Principal Harris, who stood beside the slender, beautiful Olive Hart, smiling serenely. Baker’s gaze was drawn to Olive for the first time. She clapped gently, her smile calm and composed, seemingly unsurprised by Watson's victory. Her demeanor was...superior.

In an instant, Olive met his gaze and smiled subtly. Baker's heart pounded. She seemed familiar, yet he couldn't place her. He felt he'd missed a crucial piece of the puzzle. The girl he’d once rejected now filled him with regret.

Principal Harris, brimming with joy, remarked to Baker, "Mr. Baker, I told you: wait and see. The last laugh is the best laugh! This year's award... hahaha!"

Baker, trembling with anger, coldly snorted, turned away, and avoided Harris's triumphant expression.

The basketball match concluded. Watson celebrated their victory, while Bright Star's atmosphere was bleak. Jason and his team were anxious.

Jason approached Olive. "Olive, Watson won! Now give us the USB drive!" Alicia grabbed Olive's arm. "Why should we give it to you? Why are you worried? Admit you hit Jimmy!"

Jason protested, "Don't talk nonsense! We didn't hit anyone!"

Olive calmly held up the USB. "If you didn't hit anyone, I'll call the police. Then I'll give them the USB." She reached for her phone.

Jason, worn down by the competition, panicked. "Olive, don't call!"

Olive lowered her phone, her eyes fixed on Jason. "Then apologize!"

Olive turned to Jimmy. "Jimmy, I'm asking them to apologize to you. If they're sincere, it ends here."

Alicia argued, "Don't let them off easy! They're terrible! They broke Jimmy's arm!"

Olive replied softly, "Alicia, we're all students. There's no need to push them too far."

Jimmy nodded. "Olive, I'll listen to you. If they apologize, it's over."

Olive addressed Jason and his team. "Have you thought this through? One chance. Who hit Jimmy? Step forward and apologize!"

Crystal intervened, grabbing Jason, "Jason, don't! If you apologize, you're admitting it!"

Jason shoved Crystal away. "If not, can you save us?"

Jason and three others stepped forward, bowed their heads, and confessed to assaulting Jimmy. They apologized.

Jimmy said, "For Olive's sake, I'll forget it."

They asked for the USB. Olive handed it over. Jason instantly crushed it. Olive said coldly, "Let's go."

Suddenly, someone exclaimed, "Jason, look! Vice Principal Baker!"

Jason saw Baker and Harris, their faces ashen. Harris scoffed, "Mr. Baker, are these Bright Star's students? Explain this! Your school is terrible!" Harris left, leaving Jason chilled to the bone.
