Chapter 285

He wanted to take her as his own. Jason and the others froze. They'd assumed Olive's plan was simple, but Vice Principal Baker and Principal Harris witnessed the incident. Now, Principal Harris was holding Jason accountable. Jason and his friends knew they faced serious consequences.

Vice Principal Baker's face darkened. The match was inconsequential; this incident severely tarnished Bright Star's honor. "Jason, the three of you, pack your things and come to my office. I will punish you!" he bellowed, storming off. Jason and his friends paled; escape was impossible. They would face the repercussions of their actions. Olive's face flashed in Jason's mind. How had Baker and Harris appeared simultaneously? Was it a trick? A cold sweat broke out. She was sharp, decisive, and fierce in battle. He'd made a grave mistake angering her.

Principal Harris found Olive. "Olive, everything's alright. Don't worry, Vice Principal Baker will deal with Jason and the others." Alicia, confused, asked, "Olive, what does this mean? Didn't Jason and the others apologize?" Harris chuckled, "Alicia, your IQ can't match Olive's. The USB drive was fake, but she played a perfect gameโ€”one that led me to Baker. Instead of a lengthy detention, they'll face school discipline. Better or worse? Jimmy, Olive avenged you!"

"Gosh!" Alicia exclaimed, "Olive, you're so powerful! I thought you'd let them off easily, but you used a clever strategy. I admire you!"

Jimmy, deeply touched, said, "Olive, thank you."

Olive smiled, taking Alicia's hand, then looked at Jimmy. "Remember what I said? No one gets away with it. We're strong; no one bullies us!" The Watson students' eyes welled up. Before Olive, they'd been apathetic. Now, they felt motivated and proud of their school. They'd changed perceptions of Watson. If asked where they graduated, they'd proudly say Watson.

Principal Harris, overjoyed, knew he'd found a gem. "Alright, everyone, Watson is champion! Tonight, seafood dinner and karaoke!" he announced. The students erupted in cheers.

Meanwhile, Peterson watched the jubilant students, turning to Elvis. "Young Master, Miss Hart doesn't seem to need our help. She managed perfectly."

Elvis had been there, observing. He'd filmed surveillance footage at her request, even angered her. Though she didn't need his help, he watched her skillfully outmaneuver her opponents. Seeing her surrounded by the celebrating students, Elvis was surprised. She was dazzlingโ€”smart, calm, resourceful, warm, and beautiful. Stubborn, too, he remembered, struggling against his kiss. That girl made a man want to claim her.

He turned to leave when Crystal appeared, pale and distraught. "Elvis, why did you give Olive the surveillance video? What happened between you two?"

Elvis nonchalantly replied, "I didn't give her the video. Didn't you know the USB was fake?"

Crystal froze. Fake? The USB was fake! She'd been completely fooled. She was foolish.

Elvis left with Peterson, ignoring her.

Crystal's fists clenched. She'd failed completely; Olive wasn't ordinary. She'd been careless.

That night, Elvis returned to The Red Villa, but Olive wasn't there. It was almost eight, and he worried. It wasn't safe for a girl to be out so late. He unbuttoned his shirt. Betty approached. "Young master, what would you like for dinner?"

Elvis said, "Dumplings."

"Dumplings, sir? The ones Miss Hart made? There are frozen dumplings in the fridge."

Elvis's eyebrows furrowed. "Cook them quickly." It wasn't just any dumplings; it was her dumplings he craved.
