Chapter 431: Olive's Academic Speech

Elvis, watching from upstairs, couldn't tear his gaze away from Olive. Downstairs, she was playfully teaching his grandmother simple exercises, a small ball in hand. Winking, she said, “Grandma, it’s fun to practice with the ball. I’ll teach you.” She tossed the ball high, her chest puffing slightly as it landed on her curves and slid down. With a swift kick, she sent it arcing into the old woman's waiting arms. The old woman caught it, laughing happily, “It’s interesting. Come on, Betty. Let’s play together.”

Elvis observed Olive. He remembered her exceptional dancing skills, her ability to command any stage. As Watson University's beauty queen, she'd led the cheerleaders in electrifying performances. He'd watched, captivated, as she enthralled everyone. Now, her few simple movements while teaching his grandmother exuded a playful vitality. His gaze lingered on her delicate form. She was, in this moment, breathtakingly beautiful.

Mrs. Samantha noticed Elvis upstairs. “Elvis, are you awake?” she called. Olive looked up, immediately spotting Elvis in his impeccably tailored black suit. He was the epitome of handsome and expensive, his long legs descending the stairs with an air of effortless indifference. Remembering last night, Olive quickly turned away.

Elvis approached, asking, “Grandma, how did you get up so early?”

“Olive said to sleep early and get up early to exercise, so I can live to 99 years old,” Mrs. Samantha chuckled.

Elvis, a slight curl to his lips, fixed his gaze on Olive. His grandmother added, “Elvis, Olive is going to the medical forum; you should drive her there.”

“No need…” Olive quickly protested.

Elvis nodded, “Okay.” He reached for her hand, took the car keys, and led her out. As they walked towards the Rolls-Royce Phantom, Olive withdrew her hand, saying, “I can go by myself. You can go to work.”

Politely opening the car door, Elvis stated, “Get in.” Knowing his domineering nature, and aware of the time, Olive reluctantly complied. As she settled in, Elvis patted her bottom. Stunned, Olive turned, her dark eyes fixed on him. He, looking every inch the elite businessman, raised a proud eyebrow and whispered, “Isn’t it inappropriate to dress like this? Do you want to dress like this to ride in another man’s car?”

Olive examined her attire. What was wrong with it? What was he thinking?

Today marked a significant event for Imperial's medical community. Tycoons and luminaries were gathering for a summit forum. Professor Hart’s first public appearance promised to draw significant attention, and a throng of reporters had already assembled outside.

Suddenly, a shout arose, “Look, Academic Dickson is here!” All eyes turned to the academician walking the red carpet. Flashing cameras and applause filled the air. A reporter immediately asked, “Academic Dickson, is Olive Hart your beloved disciple?”

The microphone was thrust toward Academic Dickson. Without pausing, he stated, “Yes, Olive is my dear disciple. I don’t understand why her early information is sealed. Few know she was admitted to Bright Star at fifteen, becoming a dual postdoctoral fellow. She and Marvin are considered two Bright Star legends. At sixteen, she joined the scientific research facility and became a professor. She is a natural medical genius.”

Gasps of astonishment filled the hall. The revelation of Olive’s extraordinary education astounded everyone. A sixteen-year-old professor? Unbelievable! Academic Dickson, escorted by security, disappeared inside.

Inside the forum, Academic Dickson was quickly surrounded. “Academic Dickson, where is your disciple, Olive?” “She's a formidable young woman. We all want to meet her!” He checked his watch, replying, “Surely Olive will be here soon.”

Then, a clear voice called, “Master.” Olive rushed in, “Master, am I late?”

Her arrival was captivating, instantly making her the center of attention. Several eligible young men from prominent academic and medical families fixed their eyes on her. At only twenty, Olive was the epitome of beauty, her radiant charm further enhanced by the revelation of her identity. Now, no one in Imperial’s medical field didn't know Olive Hart. She was the subject of much whispered admiration.

Academic Dickson, smiling warmly, said, “Olive, you’re not late. Let me introduce you… this is Professor Williams from WishyWave Hospital, specializing in neurology…” He continued introductions, Olive bowing gracefully. She stood bathed in the bright lights, her poise and elegance undeniable.

“Academic Dickson, this is the first time your beloved disciple has appeared. We understand Olive will be giving a speech on her academic paper. To be on such a stage at twenty… we are all eagerly anticipating it!”
