Chapter 432: I Want to Marry Elvis!

Today, at the Imperial medical professionals' forum, Olive would deliver her first academic speechโ€”an event everyone eagerly anticipated. Academic Dickson smiled humbly, โ€œOlive is still young, a junior, and you are all her teachers. If there is anything amiss in her presentation, please offer your guidance.โ€

Another attendee was Crystal, a medical student whose grades wouldn't typically qualify her for this forum. Lacking academic credentials, she possessed considerable social standing as the eldest daughter of the Robert family's wealthiest member. Damien, her father, had brought her. Crystal, however, remained inconspicuous, her attention fixed on Olive.

She watched as Academic Dickson introduced Olive, observing her graceful composure under the bright lights. Crystal saw the admiration in the eyes of the prominent figures present, their compliments echoing Olive's exceptional talent. The event felt less like an academic forum and more like a personal showcase for Olive. Crystal clenched her fists, her resentment simmering. She and the entire Paulo family had been severely injured in the recent battle; Mr. Paulo couldn't even attend due to lingering poison, yet Olive basked in this triumphant moment.

Crystal fiercely shifted her gaze, searching for her father. Damien, the world's richest philanthropist, was surrounded by people, attentively briefing him, but his attention remained elsewhereโ€”on Olive. Crystalโ€™s pupils constricted; her father was looking at Olive. Her immediate thought: "Dad must like Olive, right?"

Academic Dickson then introduced Olive to Damien. "Olive, this is President Robert. You know him, don't you?"

Olive, meeting Damien's gaze, smiled warmly. "Of course, Mr. Robert. Hello." Damien nodded, observing her expectant eyes. "I didn't expect you to be so delightful, Miss Hart. Your parents must be very proud."

Olive, surprised by his interest in her family, laughed. "My dad, Tom, and my mom, Mia, have always been wonderful to me." Damien's eyes flickered; he started to speak, but a deep, magnetic voice interrupted, "Mr. Robert, what a coincidence. I didn't expect to see you here."

Damien turned to see Elvis approaching. His arrival caused a stir. "Look, Boss Augustine is here!" Olive's eyelashes fluttered. Elvis had brought her, yet she'd said goodbye. He hadn't left, but had come to the conference.

Olive approached Elvis, her slim face tilted up. "Why are you here?"

Elvis, holding her beige coat, smiled gently. "I realized your coat was in my car. I was worried you'd be cold."

The revelation that Professor Hart had arrived in Mr. Augustine's car, albeit with a tardy driver, sparked amusement. Elvis simply stated, "We just hit traffic." The crowd chuckled, their attention still subtly focused on the pair.

Olive subtly tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear, her cheeks flushed under the light-hearted teasing. Academic Dickson announced, "The forum is about to begin. Everyone, please be seated. Olive, come with me."

Olive extended her hand to Elvis. "Give me my coat. You can go to the office now."

Elvis, however, responded, "I'll wait here for you. We'll leave together." The implication elicited another wave of laughter. Someone teased, "Mr. Augustine's time is precious; people always wait for him, but he never waits for anyone. Professor Hart is not only a skilled physician but also adept at taming the formidable president." Another added, "Mr. Augustine waiting with Professor Hart's coatโ€ฆit's giving 'husband waiting for his wife' vibes."

Olive's face reddened further. She followed Academic Dickson, escaping the playful banter. The crowd dispersed, leaving only Elvis and Damien.

Elvis approached Damien, his voice indifferent. "Mr. Robert, you seem quite interested in Olive."

Damien glanced at Olive's retreating figure, then at Elvis. "Yes, I am intrigued." It was a blatant provocation.

Elvis narrowed his eyes. "Mr. Robert, Olive is my woman!"

Damien, gesturing to the coat in Elvis's lap, replied, "I figured as much. Otherwise, you wouldn't have rushed to retrieve the coat."

A cold hostility flashed in Elvis's eyes. "Mr. Robert, I advise you to stay away from Olive. Otherwise, you'll regret it."

Damien chuckled, a gesture of amusement. Stepping forward, he patted Elvis's shoulder. "Boy, I can wait twenty years." Then he left.

Damien departed the forum directly. His butler respectfully inquired, "Sir, where to?"

Damien replied, "The prison." The butler understood; he would be visiting Nora.

Suddenly, Crystal rushed forward, calling, "Daddy!" Damien stopped as she reached him, grabbing his arm. "Dad, where are you going? Dad, I like Elvis. You must help me marry him!"

Damien's expression remained unchanged, but his voice was soft. "Elvis would go to war with me for Olive. Crystal, forget it. Elvis won't marry you."
