Chapter 454

Crystal, elegant and generous, charmed high-ranking aristocrats and wealthy wives, drawing their envy and blessings. A prominent woman remarked, โ€œMiss Crystal, you and Young Master Augustine are marrying tonight; why arenโ€™t you wearing the One Love ring?โ€

Crystal was taken aback. โ€œThe One Love ring?โ€

โ€œYes, Miss Crystal, please show us! Mrs. Augustine, when she created Fly Jewelry, designed many vintage pieces, but surprisingly, never a diamond ring. Except for the One Love ringโ€”a unique, once-in-a-lifetime ring, given only to oneโ€™s true love,โ€ another woman explained excitedly. โ€œYoung Master Augustine undoubtedly gave you this one-of-a-kind ring!โ€ The other wealthy women echoed her enthusiasm.

Anabelle, Elvisโ€™s mother, had founded Fly Jewelry, a brand that quickly captivated the entire industry. Each season's new pieces were highly sought after by these women, who often went empty-handed in their quest for limited-edition items to flaunt at year-end parties. Anabelleโ€™s rings were legendary, and this wedding was a highly anticipated opportunity to see one.

Crystalโ€™s expression hardened; her fingers were bare. Elvis hadnโ€™t given her a diamond ring. She smoothly replied, โ€œOf course, Elvis gave me the One Love ring, but I find it too valuable to wear now. I'll let you all admire it later.โ€

Crystal had a plan. She would demand the ring from Elvis; Oliveโ€™s life was in her hands, and he would comply. This clever response appeased the wealthy wives. Crystal had won the title of โ€œMrs. Augustine.โ€ Originally, Professor Olive Hart's identity had been revealed, and Elvis and Olive had publicly professed their love at an academic forum, with Olive slated to become Mrs. Augustine. Yet, three days prior, a wedding invitation arrived, bearing Crystal's name as the bride.

Now, as Mrs. Augustine, she basked in everyone's flattery. The union of the Augustine and Robert families was enough to shake the business world. Laughter filled the room.

โ€œMiss Crystalโ€”Mrs. Augustine! You and Mr. Augustine are so sweet!โ€

โ€œMr. and Mrs. Augustine are destined to be together. Mrs. Augustine is the ultimate victor!โ€

โ€œMrs. Augustine, please be kind to us in the future.โ€

Crystal, now Mrs. Augustine, smiled radiantly. Her eyes subtly sought out Elvis, tall and handsome in his bespoke black suit, standing beneath a glittering crystal chandelier, one hand in his pocket, the other holding a glass of red wine; his demeanor was refined and aloof. He commanded attention. Despite this being his wedding, many young women still gazed at him with admiration, their faces flushed, their hearts aflutter.

Crystalโ€™s lips curved into a satisfied smile. She had admired this man for years, striving to become worthy of him. Tonight, she had succeeded. She was the winner, and Olive was a mere memory.

Crystal scanned the room, noticing the absence of her father, Logan Theodore. He had promised to attend but hadnโ€™t appeared. As the King of Greenland, he maintained a discreet presence, neither confirming nor denying his daughter's identity. Neither Logan nor Damien made a move; Damien hadnโ€™t revealed Crystalโ€™s true parentage. Both sides remained silent.

Crystalโ€™s primary desire was to marry Elvis and become his wife. As the eldest princess of Greenland, she feared nothing. Her mood was excellent. Damien and Alpha had arrived, observing from a dimly lit corner.

โ€œLogan Theodore is here,โ€ Alpha announced. โ€œHeโ€™s put Crystal above all else and is watching from the shadows. Heโ€™s waiting for someoneโ€”Olive.โ€

Damien swirled his red wine, glancing at Alpha. โ€œAnd you, Alpha, whom do you await?โ€

Alpha took a sip. โ€œThe Seventh Young Master. Joyceโ€™s direct disciple. He appears whenever Olive faces danger; heโ€™s been instrumental in her growth. Heโ€™s been in hiding for so long. I want to find him.โ€

Damien raised an eyebrow. โ€œOnce the Seventh Young Master appears, youโ€™ll find Joyce and Anabelle soon.โ€ Their goals were identical: to locate their respective women through Olive. They watched and waited, knowing this quiet prelude would soon erupt into conflict.

Meanwhile, Elvis remained surrounded by powerful men. One raised his glass. โ€œYoung Master Augustine, wishing you a happy wedding and many children soon!โ€

Elvis offered no expression, his gaze cold and hard. The man was startled. Another man quickly intervened. โ€œBe careful. Young Master Augustine is in a foul mood tonight. Don't provoke him.โ€

The first man now saw the darkness in Elvisโ€™s eyes, his aura chilling like a blade. He fell silent, confused. A wedding night should be joyous; why was the groom so somber?

Elvisโ€™s hand in his pocket brushed his phone, then released it. Oliveโ€™s face filled his mind. Her voice echoed in his earsโ€”her youthful coquettishness and grace as sheโ€™d expressed her longing for him, urging him to return home. He missed her, her every smile and frown. Yet, he felt a foreboding; it seemed Olive had discovered something. Suddenly, with a resounding โ€œboom,โ€ the party doors swung open.
