Chapter 484

The alpha's eyes suddenly lit up. He knew the person he awaited had arrived. At that moment, Derrick Domino emerged from the shadows. Unlike the others who came in groups, Derrick was alone, slowly stepping into the light. Elvis's narrowed scarlet eyes instantly fixed on Derrick, recognizing Olive's ex-fiancรฉ. Years ago, when Joyce took Olive from Canada to Los Angeles, she had personally entrusted Olive to Derrick. They were childhood sweethearts. Though Elvis had been the one to take Olive's virginity, he felt insecure and hostile toward Derrick, the son-in-law Joyce had favored.

Elvis looked at Olive, demanding, "Did you call him? When did you contact him? Do you want him to take you away?" He fiercely grabbed her wrist. Olive winced in pain. Derrick, clad in black, exuded a powerful and mysterious aura. He glanced at Elvis's hand, saying in a warm voice, "Elvis, let go; you're hurting her."

Elvis was beside himself. He never wanted to hurt her, especially after her miscarriage and confinement. He released her almost instantly, then recoiled, pulling her close again. He dared not let go, fearing she would leave with Derrick. A sharp pain pierced his heart, yet he couldn't, wouldn't release her. He was terrified she would truly abandon him.

Olive, trembling, stared at Elvis. "I've been looking for Derrick. I contacted him using Crystal's phone. I want him to take me away; I'll go with him." The moment she finished, the veins in Elvis's forehead throbbed violently. Olive said softly, "Derrick was my fiancรฉ. My mother entrusted my happiness to him, so I will be with him in the future. I will marry him and have children with him."

Elvis's expression darkened. His teeth clenched, his chest pounding heavily. Olive couldn't bear to watch him suffer. Turning to Derrick, she said, "Derrick, take me away."

Derrick's gaze fell on Elvis. He said indifferently, "Elvis, control your emotions. Although Olive used an ancient method to regenerate you, your paranoia is likely to return, and worsen." He seemed to know everything. Derrick was like a ghost, nothing escaping his notice.

The two equally handsome and powerful men glared at each other. Derrick repeated, "Now, Elvis, let go of her and allow Olive to come with me." Elvis sneered, "What if I don't?"

Instantly, Derrick was before Elvis. His movement was too swift to see; he was like a phantom. He wrapped an arm around Olive's waist and attacked Elvis with his other hand. His palm seemed to hold the world's most formidable power. Elvis lost his balance, receiving a blow to the chest. He staggered back, supported by Peterson. "Young master, are you alright?"

Ray, Elvis's protector, was highly skilled and prepared to intervene, but Derrick, holding Olive, warned coldly, "Retreat. Your master is no match for me."

At that moment, numerous men in black descended from the sky, landing with remarkable strength, quickly surrounding them. These were Derrick's men. Derrick's handsome face remained calm, yet he completely controlled the situation. Elvis felt as though he had been slapped. He lowered his head, spitting blood. "Young master!" Peterson exclaimed, his expression changing drastically.

Seeing Elvis coughing up blood, Olive quickly grabbed Derrick's sleeve, whispering, "Derrick, you mustn't hurt him!" Elvis looked up to see Olive in Derrick's arms, whispering to him. The sight tore at him.

Derrick, hugging Olive, said, "Olive, let's go." He took her and left. Elvis raised a hand, wiping blood from his mouth. Derrick didn't look back. Elvis ran toward him, but Derrick turned and struck him again in the chest. Elvis recoiled, spitting out more blood. "Young master!" Ray cried out, rushing to his aid.

Olive bit her lip, watching him. She knew he was seriously injured. Elvis was among Canada's wealthiest men, the leader of the Red Mafia, but in a fight, he was no match for Derrick. Her face was pale. "Derrick, I told you not to hurt him!" she whispered again.

Derrick replied indifferently, "It's not that I want to hurt him, but should I simply allow him to attack me?"

Elvis broke free from Ray's grasp and charged at Derrick again. Derrick's palm struck Elvis's chest once more. The force of the blow sent Elvis to his knees, blood spurting onto the ground.
