Chapter 488: Find Him!

Derrick watched Olive, huddled on the rug beside the bed. The world's clamor seemed distant; her focus was solely on the silent cell phone in her hand, its battery long depleted. She clutched it, murmuring to the inert device, talking to Elvis. She told him she was pregnant with twins, that he was a father, that everything was fine, and that she missed him terribly. The quiet night amplified the sadness flowing like a river within her. Her morning sickness, intensified by the twins, caused rapid weight loss. Sometimes, a strong wind felt capable of toppling her.

That day, while preparing dinner, Olive saw breaking news on the living room TV. The anchor excitedly announced: โ€œAs we all know, Crystal is the eldest daughter of the Robert family in Imperial, but recently, her true identity as the biological daughter of Logan Theodore, King of Greenland, was revealed!โ€ โ€œA few months ago, the Augustine and Robert families united in marriage, with Elvis, Imperialโ€™s top businessman, marrying Crystal in a lavish ceremony. Now, Crystal is the eldest princess, making Elvis the prince of Greenland.โ€ โ€œLoganโ€™s love for Crystal is immense. Yesterday, he announced a Greenland wedding for Elvis and Crystal, featuring a ten-mile red carpet and a spectacular parade, capturing global attention.โ€ โ€œReports paint a picture of a blissfully happy marriage. This Greenland wedding will undoubtedly once again focus the world's eyes on this couple.โ€

Olive's face paled. What? Elvis hadn't broken ties with Crystal? Not only that, but they were getting married? She'd left him to avoid dragging him down, to free him from Crystal's influence. Yet, he was still entangled with her? She'd hoped he'd find someone better, but certainly not Crystal. Was he mad?

Before dinner, Olive retreated to her room, where Derrick entered, bearing a delicious meal. "Olive, it's time to eat," he said. Olive, eyes fixed on nothing, replied, "I don't want to eat." Derrick offered her a sour plum. Her eyelashes fluttered as she took it, the familiar sweet and sour taste reminding her of Elvis. At the time, it had been delicious; now, it tasted like ash. Tears welled in her eyes. She'd been clinging to the phone, desperate for his voice.

Olive looked up at Derrick. "Derrick," she said, "I'm going to Greenland."

Derrick frowned. "No," he said firmly. "Logan doesn't love Crystal. This wedding is a trap, designed to lure you to Greenland. Elvis is also involved; they're both waiting for you. It's dangerous."

"Derrick," she admitted, "I want to find Elvis, to understand his actions. But there's a mystery, something involving Elvis and...a forbidden zone."

Derrick asked, "Olive, what do you mean?"

She nodded. "Derrick, I thinkโ€ฆ I've found my way home. We canโ€ฆ go home."

Derrick fell silent, then asked, "How can you face Elvis in your current state?"

"My mother's medical book contains a rejuvenation serum. It will restore my youth for eight hours. Afterward, I'll be back to my old self. This is my last chance. I want to say goodbye to Elvis, to the past, and thenโ€ฆ we go home."

"Okay," Derrick said. "We leave for the wedding tomorrow."

Greenland. Elvis and Crystal's wedding day. The entire city glowed with flower lights; a ten-mile red carpet snaked through streets lined with flowers and romantic drapes. A massive crowd awaited the wedding procession. Olive, having used the serum, was transformed, her youthful beauty restored. She mingled with the crowd, waiting. A surge of excitement rippled through the throng. Someone shouted, "Look, the princess and the groom are arriving!"

Olive saw the flower-covered carriage approach, carrying Elvis and Crystal. She hadn't seen Elvis in so long. He was impeccably dressed in a tailored black suit, handsome and dignified, yet quieter than she remembered. Crystal, radiating joy, wore a princess gown and tiara, waving enthusiastically.

Olive tried to push forward, but guards blocked her. "Who are you? Get back! This is restricted," one shouted.

"I'm a friend; I need to see the princess and groom," Olive pleaded.

A guard laughed. "If you're their friend, then I'm their brother! Don't be ridiculous. Mortals like you don't get to see the Grand Princess and groom!"
