Chapter 498: Olive, Welcome Home

“Ancient Visionary Kingdom?” Olive’s pupils shrank, and she involuntarily repeated the name. She remembered seeing it in an ancient book—a mystical country that vanished without a trace. The reason for its disappearance wasn't recorded, leaving Olive in the dark. She never imagined she was connected to it.

“Olive, your homeland is the ancient Visionary Kingdom,” Derrick said. “It possesses the world's most profound medical skills, especially acupuncture. Your mother, Joyce Brown, is a member—the queen.”

“What?” Olive blinked. “My mom is the queen? So…I’m a princess?”

Derrick’s lips curled. “No. Since returning, you’re the new queen.”

Olive gasped, momentarily stunned, but quickly composed herself. “Derrick, let’s find the second treasure box Mom left.”

“Okay.”

Olive entered the forbidden area for the first time, finding her mother's treasure chest, not as a mirror illusion, but a real chest. She opened it; instead of a medical book, a turquoise flute lay inside. Beneath the flute, she found a letter addressed to her. Her lips lifted, then her eyes reddened with emotion. Eleven years had passed since her mother had been by her side, yet happy memories flooded her mind.

Joyce's letter read: “Tada! Congratulations, my daughter, Olive! You’ve finally found your way home. You thought this chest held the second volume of the medical scriptures? Mon let you guess the beginning, but how could you guess the ending? In Visionary, the medical scriptures aren't about volumes, it’s about the attic; you can choose from one volume to infinity! I give you this flute—it contains not a song, but the ancient wolf-training secret. Finally, I’m waiting for you. You’ll be home on the water when the full moon comes, with Mom welcoming you!”

Olive reread the letter, tears welling. She carefully folded it and opened the ancient wolf-training manual.

“Olive, your mother also trains wolves; she’s only tamed two,” Derrick said. “Let's see your talent.”

Joyce’s only mystery was wolf training. Olive, however, recognized the ancient script instantly, thanks to her mother’s tutelage and her inherent gift, a legacy of the ancient Visionary Kingdom.

After studying the manual, Olive looked to the sky, whispering, “Derrick, the moon is almost full.”

Derrick nodded. “Olive, where’s the way home?”

Olive pointed towards a dense darkness, a place radiating immense power, inspiring fear. “Visionary disappeared. Due to changes in the oceans and the earth’s crust, I believe it lies between this forbidden land and the border of Greenland.”

Derrick's eyebrows furrowed. “Olive, they’re coming.”

Elvis, accompanied by Logan, Damien, and Alpha, appeared.

“Olive, Seventh Young Master, we found you!” Logan exclaimed. His original plan was to leave, but Olive presented a problem.

Olive narrowed her eyes. Elvis's lineage meant their discovery was unsurprising.

Logan's eyes landed on the treasure chest. Greed flashed in his eyes. The atmosphere tightened; Logan, Damien, and Alpha all wanted the chest. But Elvis focused solely on Olive, his gaze dark and intense. He wanted only her.

Olive smiled. “Looks like Derrick and I can’t go today.”

Alpha stepped forward. “Olive, give us the chest.”

Logan countered, “No, it’s mine!”

Derrick started to move, but Olive stopped him. “If you want what my mother left behind, take it if you can.”

She produced her jade flute and began to play. A melodious sound filled the forest, a haunting melody that seemed to last forever.

Logan felt a bad premonition. Damien stopped Alpha. “What is that sound?”

The sound continued.
