Chapter 538: Little Brat, Do You Want to Make a Mess?
Looking at the luxuriously curved ceiling, Elvis stretched out his arm, saying, โTurn around and sleep in my arms.โ He wanted to hug her. Olive didnโt move; little Nathan was nestled in her lap, small hands clutching her clothes, his face against her arm. โNathanโs here; Iโll sleep like this,โ Olive refused. Elvisโs handsome face turned cold. He narrowed his eyes, rose from the bed, circled it, and reached for Nathan. Olive startled, quickly hugging the boy, and cautiously asked, โElvis, what are you doing?โ โIโll take Nathan to his room,โ Elvis replied emotionlessly. Nathan stirred, trying to escape. โLet go, youโre scaring him! Donโt treat him like that!โ Olive, impatient, slapped Elvisโs arm. Elvis lowered his eyes; his face and arm were red. He coldly pursed his lips. โYouโre the one who should let go,โ he ordered. โNo, you should let go, Elvis!โ Elvisโs handsome face darkened. He pinched Oliveโs jaw, forcing her to look at him. โOlive, you donโt even know your identity? Whose woman are you?โ His imposing presence filled the room.
She is his woman. Is it acceptable for Nathan to hug her during the day, but not at night? Then who will sleep with him? Why is Nathan consuming all her time? Oliveโs strength was no match for his; her jaw ached. Suddenly, Elvis felt a sharp pain in his hand and released her. Nathan had opened his eyes and bitten his hand, a screech echoing the pain. Elvis frowned; Nathan had bitten him until he bled. โNathan, are you awake?โ Nathan hugged Olive tightly, his large eyes staring bravely at his father. It was a silent declaration: Dad, you canโt bully the teacher! Elvisโs eyes darkened; his aura menacing. He asked, โKid, do you want to make a mess?โ He raised his hand to slap Nathan. Instinctively, Olive shielded the boy, yelling, โElvis, youโre not allowed to hit anyone!โ Elvis stopped, regarding them as unforgivable enemies. He felt unwelcome, like he should abdicate, leaving the family to Olive and Nathan. He withdrew his hand and left. Aunty Laylaโs voice called from outside: โMaster, itโs so late, are you still going out?โ Olive heard the door slam and the car engine start. He was leaving. Elvis left Serenity Villa at midnight.
โMiss Hart, why is he leaving?โ Aunty Layla asked, concerned. Olive relaxed, curving her lips. โAunty Layla, let him go. Iโm tired.โ She was tired and wanted to rest. Elvis didnโt return all night, but he hadnโt stopped Olive from seeing Nathan, and she was happy. The kindergarten hired a new intern teacher, Harper Clark, a beautiful, impoverished college student who only worked during vacations. Harper was very fond of Nathan, offering him a lollipop. โNathan, do you like this lollipop? Besides Miss Hart, you can play with me. I know teachers better than Miss Hart.โ Nathan ignored her. Olive entered. Nathan immediately ran to her. Harper hid the lollipop, smiling sweetly at Olive. โMiss Hart, the little prince of the Augustine family really likes you. How did you do it? Iโll ask for your advice later.โ Olive frowned, disliking Harperโs words but didn't comment. โOkay, weโll talk later.โ She took Nathan away. Outside, Nathan looked up at her, silently saying, โMiss Fairy, I donโt like Miss Clark.โ Olive winked. โShh, Nathan, we canโt speak ill of people, but coincidentally, I donโt like Miss Clark either.โ Mother and son smiled.
In the evening, at Augustine Corporation, a business empire spanning continents, Elvis presided over a quarterly revenue report meeting. He wore a gray shirt, black trousers, and a tie, his handsome face sharp and mature. However, he was distracted, frequently texting on his phone. The directors watched him, silent. At eight oโclock, he stood. โThe meeting is over.โ He left. In his office, he threw down documents, loosened his tie, and leaned back against his desk, indescribably strong and attractive. He checked his phone; no messages from Olive.
