Chapter 544

Except for her, he has never slept with another woman. Harper lost this bet. Elvis took a puff of his cigarette, his back stiff against the sofa, his throat moving gently up and down. His head was filled with Olive’s pretty little face. He missed her terribly; he missed her scent. He longed to pull her into his lap, bury his face in her neck, and be enveloped by her fragrance. He was addicted to her scent. He and Olive had known each other for a long time, yet his feelings remained as strong as they were three years ago. He wanted to cling to her, to possess her.

Elvis felt frustrated. He wanted to try with other women, but he had no interest in sex. For the past three years, the women around him had been like beautiful flowers—objects of fleeting attention. He wanted to forget Olive, to start over, but he could manage their company while shopping or dining. The moment they reached a hotel room, however, he couldn't bear it. He didn't want to touch them. It was true: Elvis had never slept with the same woman twice because he’d only ever slept with Olive.

At that moment, his phone rang melodically. Seeing “Olive” on the screen, the corners of his cold, sexy lips curled upward. Harper watched, noting the stark contrast to his earlier moodiness. This phone call transformed him; he smiled like a cat anticipating a stolen treat.

Elvis answered, "Hello."

Olive’s clear voice responded, "Elvis."

He smoked furiously, ash falling as he replied with unfriendly hostility, "You can call me whatever you want."

Olive quickly corrected herself, "Boss Augustine."

Elvis was surprised by her docility. He licked his dry lips, his eyes narrowed, and glanced sideways at Harper. Harper, her scalp tingling, quickly approached. Elvis, lounging with his long legs stretched out, held his phone in one hand and a cigarette in the other. He pointed at Harper, gesturing for her to squat. Her heart pounded. What did he want?

She obeyed. He held the cigarette behind her head, her face pressed against his strong waist. The scent of his recently bathed body filled her senses. Her face and ears flushed as she glanced up at him.

Elvis narrowed his deep crimson eyes, looking down at her with scorn and malice. Harper reached out and untied his pajama belt…

At that moment, Olive said, "Mr. Augustine, Nathan can speak now. I need to instruct him urgently. You are his father; you can't delay him for your own selfish desires."

"Hey," Elvis said with a cold smile. "So you are Nathan's mother. Why can't you satisfy my selfish desires for Nathan?"

"I…"

"Done? I'm hanging up. I'm having fun now, you're bothering me."

Hearing this, Olive gripped the phone tightly. She knew there was another woman with him, remembering how he'd once locked her in a closet at the Emperor's Club.

"What are you doing now?"

"Olive, what do you think I'm doing?" Elvis’ husky voice was undeniably charismatic.

Olive remained silent.

"If you're that interested, then let me take a picture for you."

A "ding" announced a photo from Elvis. Olive saw Harper squatting inconspicuously beside him, leaving little doubt about their activities. She recognized Harper Clark instantly. She disliked Harper, sensing conspiracy, greed, and vanity in her attempts to seduce wealthy men. Unexpectedly, Harper was with Elvis.

Harper, happy that Elvis was taking the picture, smiled brightly at the camera. She knew he was speaking with Olive, and she played her part well. She had been intensely jealous of Olive since the incident with Olive riding in Elvis' Rolls-Royce Phantom went viral at the kindergarten. Harper, though pretty, felt Olive's beauty eclipsed her completely. Why could Olive be with Elvis, but not her?

Harper, now feeling arrogant, wanted to flaunt her success to her rival. She moved to undo Elvis's belt, but Elvis, having taken the picture, pushed her away. Unprepared, Harper fell to the carpet in shame. Elvis ignored her, stood up, and focused on Olive. "Oh, by the way, Olive, you should know my new hobby. You seem to be colleagues."

Harper felt like nothing more than Elvis' posing tool. Elvis eagerly awaited Olive's response. But after two beeps, she hung up.

Elvis exclaimed, "What the hell?" His brows furrowed, he slammed his phone against the wall, shattering it. Harper, witnessing his fury for the first time, paled and remained silent.

Olive, after being informed at the kindergarten that Elvis had withdrawn Nathan from school, went to the bathroom to splash cold water on her face. Upon returning, she found Harper surrounded by other teachers, all looking at her with jealous eyes. "Miss Clark," one teacher said, "when did you buy that IV bag? Its price is over ten thousand dollars."
