Chapter 571: Still As Beautiful As Before!
The few shopping guides were overjoyed by Levi's words. “Cutie, have my candy.” “No, have my milkshake.” The ladies pressed delicious treats into Levi’s hands. He sighed inwardly, awed by their kindness. It was said that women were the world's most difficult creatures, but to Levi, they were the sweetest.
At that moment, Levi’s phone beeped, an alarm sounding. He quickly retrieved it. Having confronted Nathan earlier, he'd tracked Nathan's ID. Now, his phone showed Nathan nearby. He knew Nathan must be there for Grandma! Levi leapt from the sofa. He considered alerting Anabelle in the changing room, but changed his mind. Turning, he walked out, dialing a number. Derrick’s warm voice answered, “Levi, what’s wrong?”
“Uncle Derrick, can’t I call whenever I want?” Levi retorted.
“Are you going to tell me why you called?” Derrick Domino pressed.
“Uncle Derrick, hurry and take Grandma away. Nathan’s brought someone to meet her. If you’re late, Grandma will be exposed.”
Derrick Domino was silent. “Why didn’t you leave with Grandma?”
Levi grinned slyly. “Because I want to meet my eldest brother.”
Derrick swiftly ended the call. Levi reached the second floor, stood at the glass guardrail, and looked down. Soon, two figures—a larger and a smaller one—came into view: Alpha with Nathan.
Levi’s heart pounded; that telepathic feeling returned. He studied Nathan, who wore a white shirt and jeans. His face was cold. At three years old, he was already a gaming company CEO. “Is this my older brother?” Levi wondered, noting his brother’s resemblance to the handsome man he’d previously seen. A thought struck him: Was Elvis Nathan’s father? Levi couldn't immediately accept this; in his heart, his father was already gone.
Downstairs, Alpha noticed Nathan stop. “Nathan, why aren’t you moving?” he asked.
Nathan checked his phone. “Someone’s interfering with my signal. The source is…” He trailed off, then raised his head. As he approached, his heart pounded, as if something called to him—a feeling far stronger than at the airport. He looked up to the second floor and saw Levi. Their eyes met. Nathan narrowed his eyes, a hint of coldness in his gaze. Levi turned and vanished.
“Grandfather, Grandma’s nearby. Find her. I’ll meet someone,” Nathan said, hurrying upstairs. Alpha looked towards the second floor. Only Levi could disrupt Nathan’s signal; his second grandson’s presence confirmed their grandmother was there. He saw the women's clothing store and entered. A sales associate greeted him enthusiastically, “Good day, sir. What can I help you with?”
Alpha’s gaze swept the counter. A zipper sound reached his ears, like someone was fastening a dress. He turned and focused on a changing room. The door was mostly closed, but he saw a pair of beautiful legs—slender, white, in champagne-colored high heels, not a style favoured by young women. He knew they belonged to an older woman.
Alpha approached, stopping slowly. Many women had been at his side over the years, but he'd had no interest. More than twenty years had passed since Anabelle disappeared. He'd even suspected a physical problem, abstaining from sex. Now, the sight of those legs aroused desires he'd suppressed for years, surging like an ocean.
He paused, then pushed open the changing room door. He’d forgotten what she looked like as a young woman, and couldn’t imagine her appearance after more than twenty years. He looked up, but the changing room was empty.
