Chapter 649: The Two Boys Took Turns to Trouble Him

Elvis slowly placed one hand in his trousers. Olive remained silent, her head lowered as she stared at her toes. She looked a little sad. Elvis's heart softened; he felt a pull toward her. He didn't understand the spell she seemed to have cast on him. She had become Sadie, yet he recognized her instantly.

Clara, by contrast, was very noisy. Elvis resisted the urge to dismiss her, lightly snorting, "Yes." The annual party's finale—his first dance—was the subject at hand. Clara looked at him eagerly. "Mr. Augustine," she said, "we'll get the same number cards, right? Will you dance with me for your first dance?" His first dance was his to decide; he could choose anyone. Clara was clearly taking a shortcut.

Elvis didn't respond. Could it be a big surprise? Clara, convinced of this, was thrilled.

The VIP elevator doors opened. Elvis exited first, heading to his office to attend to some matters. Andrew, his private secretary, approached with a box. "CEO, someone sent this courier." Elvis glanced at the box.

"Who sent it?" Andrew shook his head. "I don't know." "Take it and have a look." "Yes, President." Andrew opened the box. His mouth fell open; his face registered shock. Elvis's curiosity piqued, he approached.

The box contained a bottle of eye drops and a note. Andrew handed the note to Elvis. It read, "Mr. Elvis's eyes will finally see. Congratulations."

Elvis was speechless. He knew who sent it: Olive's son, Levi. The little boy had given him eye drops as a celebratory gift. The prescription read, "Two drops each night." Elvis considered discarding them, but then a slow smile spread across his lips. His reaction surprised him. He should have disliked Levi, yet he couldn't bring himself to hate the boy; he even felt a fondness for him. He felt he could accept Levi, and perhaps, Nathan and Levi would become friends.

Immediately, Elvis frowned. What was he thinking? He didn't understand himself. He went to sit in his executive chair, only to find Nathan already there.

Nathan's handsome face was cold. "Daddy," he said, looking down at his father, "did you bully Mummy again? I've had enough!" Elvis touched his forehead. When had he bullied Olive? Why were both boys troubling him?

"Nathan, I didn't bully your Mummy. Three years ago, or even now, it's your Mummy who has bullied me."

Nathan retorted, "Daddy, bullying isn't just abusive words or physical hitting. Kissing is also considered bullying!"

After a moment's silence, Elvis asked, "Did you find Molly?" He had broken the mermen's charm in the palace, and suspected Clara was disguised as Olive, but pretended ignorance to avoid alarming them.

Nathan nodded. "I found her, but Molly's smart. Aunt Sadie hasn't been found yet. Without Sadie, we're at a disadvantage."

Elvis frowned. "Nathan, what do you want to do?"

"Daddy, I need you to lure Molly out so I can rescue Aunt Sadie."

Elvis nodded. "Okay, I'll let you know when I've managed it." Nathan jumped off the chair. "Daddy, I'll go then."

"I'll have the driver take you."

"No need, Grandfather sent me." Nathan had a dedicated driver—Damien.

"Why is your Grandfather here?" Elvis hadn't seen Damien in a while.

Nathan sighed. "Grandfather's in a bit of trouble." Elvis found this odd. "What trouble?"

"Great-Grandma forced Grandfather on a blind date." Elvis chuckled. Old Mrs. Robert had forced her son on a blind date? Damien, however, wasn't getting any younger. Aside from his marriage to Nora, he'd had no other woman in his life. This worried Mrs. Robert, whose greatest wish was to see her son with a partner before she died. Still, Elvis couldn't imagine Damien on a blind date. Damien, already arrived, sat in his luxurious car, answering a call from Old Mrs. Robert.
