Chapter 651: Donโt You Like the Daughter I Gave You?
Catalina, the female secretary, stared at Joyce in shock, then at Damien. Humiliated, she clenched her fist. โMr. Robert, you already have a girlfriend, and you want a blind date with me? I didnโt expect this from you. Youโre a beast! Iโm disgusted!โ Snorting, she fled.
Damien being called a beast amused Joyce. Damien, however, looked at her smiling face and said sternly, โTake your hand away!โ Her hand still rested on his arm.
Joyce quickly withdrew it. Frowning, she asked, โBoss Robert, did I ruin your date? Are you angry?โ
Damien frowned. โIs this fun? The last time you reported me for a pornographic deal and sent me to the police stationโwas that fun? You sent me a lawyerโs letter accusing me of rape and demanding 10.1 billion. Was that fun? Since you enjoy games, Boss Robert, let's play.โ
The evening wind played with strands of Joyceโs hair. Her face, bright and captivating, belied her age. Their daughter, Olive, was grown, yet Joyce possessed a youthful playfulness.
Damien whispered, โHow have I wronged you? Did you not find a male technician amusing, or did I not forcibly violate you?โ Having broached that night twenty years prior, Joyce felt compelled to address it, unwilling to remain indebted.
She stepped forward, rising onto her tiptoes to bring her face close to his. Their proximity was intense; Damien could smell her perfume. The memory of that moonlit night, her boldly straddling him, flooded his mind.
โI wanted to give you a baby,โ she whispered. โSon or daughter?โ
Damien quickly dismissed the thought. โStay away from me!โ
Joyce knew of Damienโs privileged upbringing, his strict education. โMr. Robert, you can pretend with others, but not with me. People who donโt know you would think youโre abstinent.โ
โDonโt deny it! You donโt have amnesia. If you donโt remember, I can help you. Iโll admit I initiated it, but you asked for it twice afterward. You completely exhausted me that night.โ
Hearing this, Damienโs eyebrows shot up. He remembered that night vividly. Realizing heโd married someone else, she truly viewed him as a one-night stand.
โMr. Robert, that night fulfilled both our desires. And I gave you a beautiful daughter. Do you know how many people long for children? Besides, sheโs grown. Donโt make this ugly. Donโt claim ten billion from me, andโฆโ She bit her lip, her eyes twinkling. โDonโt you like the daughter I gave you?โ
Her breath brushed his face as she smiled. The women Damien usually encountered were scholars like Catalina. Before meeting Joyce, heโd envisioned a respectable wife, but fate intervened. She didn't fit his ideal, yet he seemed captivated, unable to resist her.
He grabbed her arm, gently pushing her against the wall. Her vision darkened as his body enveloped her. His sudden dominance startled her.
Calmly, he said, โYou seem to remember that night in exquisite detail.โ
Joyce was stunned. โThey say women never forget their first. After all these years, do you still miss me? Do you want to relive it?โ
That night, she'd been innocent, he her first. She shivered. Sheโd initiated the encounter, yet he used her words against her. He was undeniably flamboyant.
She wrapped her arms around his neck. โYeah, Iโve been thinking about you for years.โ
He hadnโt expected such a casual admission. She hadnโt forgottenโฆ His usually stern features softened, a smirk playing on his lips.
The driver, a longtime Robert family employee, was speechless. Witnessing this intimacy, he was stunned. His boss never allowed such closeness. Could this be a dream? He snapped a picture and sent it to Mrs. Robert.
