Chapter 654: Truth or Dare

Catalina and Lesley looked up to see Joyce's clear eyes fixed on them, a smile playing on her lips. Despite their dislike for Joyce, they were stunned by her radiant face and captivating eyes. Both women recognized her striking attractiveness.

Lesley, trembling with anger, blurted out, "I've seen many mistresses, but never one so arrogant."

"Oh, really? How delightful," Joyce replied, showing no interest in engaging with them. She scanned the hall, quickly locating Damien in the center. Her eyes settled on him. "What do you see?"

Catalina and Lesley followed her gaze to Damien.

"That's Mr. Robert. What tricks are you playing?" Lesley demanded.

Joyce blinked innocently. "President Damien is over there. You two can join him. As for me, I'm leaving."

With that, she turned to go. Catalina and Lesley were dumbfounded; their angry confrontation had been for naught.

Lesley, however, suddenly blocked Joyce's path. "Stop!"

Joyce looked up. "Do you have something else to say?"

"Indeed. Dare you play a game with us?"

Joyce's eyes lit up. "A game? I love games. Is it fun?"

"Very. How about Truth or Dare?" Lesley's eyes gleamed with mischief.

Joyce, sensing Lesley's ill intent, nodded. "Very well. Don't cry if you lose badly."

Lesley gathered a few others, and they settled around a long table. She placed a beer bottle in the center. "Whoever the bottle points to plays Truth or Dare. Those are the rules."

Everyone agreed. Lesley spun the bottle. It landed, pointing at Joyce.

Unsurprised, Joyce calmly stated, "Alright, I'll play."

Lesley, believing she had Joyce at a disadvantage, smirked. "Truth or dare?"

Joyce tilted her head. "Dare."

Lesley laughed. "You must call your first man."

Catalina, beside her, quietly tugged Lesley's hand. "Lesley, why are you doing this?"

"Catty, you don't understand. I want to expose this vixen's true character to Boss Robert. Once she makes that call, he'll naturally dislike her, and see you as pure. Then he'll choose you."

"But how will Mr. Robert hear?"

"Don't worry." Lesley winked at a waiter, who discreetly connected Joyce's phone to the hall's speaker system.

Catalina's heart pounded. She was a composed woman, unfamiliar with such underhanded tactics.

"Lesley, this isn't right; we've gone too farโ€ฆ"

"Catalina, kindness to your enemy is cruelty to yourself. We won't sympathize with this vixen. I'll avenge you. Just watch," Lesley insisted.

Unaware of their whispered conversation, Joyce took out her phone. "Okay, I'll make the call."

Lesley's eyes shone with anticipation. Joyce dialed a number.

Damien felt his phone vibrate. He saw it was Joyce calling. He looked across the hall at her playing her game, surprised she was calling him. Aiden approached and whispered something in his ear. Damien frowned, then answered.

The waiter quickly connected the call to the speaker. Joyce calmly said, "Hello."

Her voice echoed through the hall, drawing everyone's attention. Lesley, thrilled, watched intently.

Lesley wasn't curious about Joyce's first man; she only craved humiliation.

A deep, magnetic, yet indifferent voice replied, "Is something wrong?"

Lesley paused, sensing a familiar voice. Catalina tapped her arm, her expression one of shock. Lesley turned to see Damien standing in the dim lightโ€”he was answering the phone!

The realization struck her: could Damien be Joyce's first man? A stunned silence fell over the hall. Suddenly, Elvis appeared upstairs, observing the scene from the railing. He knew his mother-in-law struggled to remain inconspicuous.
