Chapter 655 She Took His Virginity!
Elvis knew his mother-in-law was incapable of keeping a low profile, and he wasn't disappointed.
Joyce clutched her phone, smiling at the man on the other end. โMr. Robert, Iโm playing Truth or Dare. This beautiful lady asked me to call my first man, so I called you.โ
The audience gasped, staring at Joyce and Damien in shock. Lesley and Catalina felt mortified. Theyโd planned to humiliate Joyce, but sheโd called Damienโher first man!
Lesley felt a cold gaze. She looked up and met Damienโs eyes. He stared at her, then quickly looked away. A chill ran through Lesley. She realized sheโd offended him. Her legs weakened. She glanced at Joyce, who sat quietly, a terrifying smile playing on her lips.
Lesley understood. Joyce had seen through her from the start, feigning obliviousness to embarrass her. With her eyes fixed on Lesley's ashen face, Joyce smirked. Sheโd already declared her skill at games; for over twenty years, sheโd been honing her abilities in Canada.
Damienโs low, magnetic voice came from the phone. โYou called me for this? Iโm your first man, so youโre showing off?โ
Joyce sensed his arrogance, but raised her eyes to meet his. โItโs worth showing off, because I was also your first woman,โ she replied with a smile.
The audience gasped again, disbelieving. Everyone knew Damien avoided women; a woman claiming to have taken his virginity was astounding.
Aiden stood silently. Moments before, heโd informed his boss about the game, hoping heโd ignore Joyceโs call. But heโd answered, revealing his willingness to indulge her.
Damien, incredulous, calmly hung up and walked away. Joyce had swiftly become infamous, seemingly proud of โbreakingโ Damienโs virginity.
Walking down the hallway, Joyce saw Lesley and Catalina; Catalinaโs reddened eyes showed sheโd been crying. Lesley glared at Joyce, her eyes burning with resentment.
โJoyce, did you do this on purpose? Youโre unbelievable! How could Mr. Robert like you?โ
Joyce stepped in front of Lesley, casually tucking a strand of hair behind her ear. โYou donโt have a crush on Mr. Robert, do you?โ
Catalina looked at Lesley in surprise. Lesleyโs expression changed.
โJoyce, what nonsense? Catalina likes President Robert; sheโs my best friend!โ
โYes, your best friend likes President Damien. How can you like a man your best friend likes? Iโm curious,โ Joyce laughed.
โCatalina, donโt listen to her; sheโs sowing discordโฆโ
โReally?โ Joyce interrupted, her sharp eyes fixed on Lesley. โDamien is attractive, and women are drawn to him. From the day Catalina saw him on TV, sheโs loved him. But so have you, Lesley.โ
โThe Robert family is prestigious; the Albie family has no chance. You know Damien is unattainable. So you married according to your familyโs arrangement, but your husband gambles and beats you. Your marriage is unfortunate,โ Joyce paused, then continued.
โMrs. Robert is interested in Catalina, arranging a blind date. You, her best friend, flew back immediately. Your intentions are obvious,โ Joyce chuckled. โYou claim to avenge your friend, but is it for her, or yourself? You hope for a successful date so you can get close to Damien.โ
Joyce shrugged. โIโm being modest, but we both know you have deep feelings for him. But I wonโt judge,โ she added.
Her words, seemingly casual, shocked Catalina and Lesley. They froze. Lesleyโs face was pale. She regretted provoking such a formidable opponent.
Catalina stared at Lesley, shocked. Without Joyceโs revelation, she wouldnโt have believed her best friend capable of this.
โLesley, I considered you a sister. How could you do this?โ Catalina asked.
Lesley panicked. Ninety percent of the Albie industries depended on the Elijah family.
โCatalina, please listenโฆโ
Joyce, uninterested, turned to leave. But she saw a tall figureโDamien.
