Chapter 679 I Want Mom, Woohoo

She lied to him! She lied, claiming the child she carried was Derrick Domino's. Now, considering her advanced medical skills, he realized how easily she could have altered the pregnancy. Why had she lied?

Elvis couldn't forgive her deception. The child was his; he had a right to know, yet he'd known nothing for three years! Unforgivable was that she'd been back at Visionary for three years, yet never contacted him. For three years, he'd been separated from Levi and Ivy, unable to watch them grow. Three years the children were without their father.

She knew he and Nathan lived in Imperial. Once warm and close lovers, sheโ€™d let father and son rely on each other after giving birth in October, then vanished from Nathan's life for three years. Elvis felt a surge of rage; he wished he could find her, rip out her heart to understand her cruelty.

A knock came. The maid announced, "Sir, someone wishes to see you."

"Come in."

The maid entered, reporting, "Sir, a woman is outside. She says she wants to see youโ€ฆ to pick up her children."

Elvis's eyes flashed. He knew instantly: Olive was here. He'd taken Levi and Ivy without suppressing the news; her arrival, though sooner than expected, was inevitable. He didn't want to see her; the thought of her actions fueled his desire to punish her.

"No, send her away!" he growled.

"Yes, sir."

Olive stood outside the mansion gates. Waking in a presidential suite, she remembered nothing beyond getting drunk at Elvis's party and attempting to attack him, only to be thrown into the water to sober up. Mortified by her actions, she'd left Augustine's and returned home, only to receive a call from Aunt Cora: Elvis had taken Ivy and Levi.

Panic seized her. She hadn't explained Levi and Ivy's parentage to Elvis; he mistakenly believed they were Derrick's children. Would he hurt them?

She rushed to see him. A door closing echoed; the maid reappeared. "Sorry, sir refuses to see you. Please leave immediately."

Olive frowned. "I'm not leaving! My children are inside. Where's Elvis? Why won't he see me?"

"Miss, we're following orders. The young master doesn't want to see you. Please leave!"

The maid slammed the door.

From his study, Elvis watched Olive's slender figure from the French window. The door was closed, yet she remained, waiting. Let her wait.

Then, a soft sob drifted from outside the office: "Woohooโ€ฆ"

Ivy was crying. Elvis rushed out. He found the maid comforting her. "Little lady, what's wrong? Don't cry; it'll make you less pretty."

But Ivy cried on. Tears streamed down her face.

"Go out," Elvis commanded.

"Yes, sir." The maid left.

Ivy, fresh from a shower, wore a yellow two-piece dress and matching socks. One sock had slipped off, revealing her tiny foot. Her cries broke his heart. He scooped her into his arms, gently coaxing, "Ivy, why are you crying?"

Tears streamed down her face. She whimpered, "Momโ€ฆ I miss Momโ€ฆ I want Momโ€ฆ Woohooโ€ฆ"

Elvis's heart ached. He couldn't forgive Olive, but these children's love for her was undeniable and irreplaceable.

"Ivy, baby, don't cry. It's late. Tomorrow morning, we'll find your Mom, okay?" He patted her back gently. Though experienced with Nathan, Ivy felt weightless in his arms. He was careful, afraid to hurt her.

She sobbed against him, her nose red, "No, I want Mom now! Mommy, Mommy!"

Levi entered. "Handsome Uncle, it's useless. Mom sleeps with my sister. Even if she's busy, she video calls at night."

Elvis looked at Levi, silently asking, "No exception tonight?"

Levi shrugged: "No."

Elvis felt a headache coming. Olive was at the gate, barred from entry. He'd planned to raise Levi and Ivy himself, to gain custody. But nowโ€ฆ he'd ignored their need for Olive, and forcing separation was impossible.

Ivy continued crying. He tried to comfort her, but failed.

Sadly, Elvis bent, retrieving her fallen sock. "Okay, Ivy, let's see your Mom now. But no more crying, okay?"
