Chapter 695 Exposed
Elvis stared at Clara indifferently, then hooked his thin lips. โDonโt worry, thereโs still an important person yet to arrive.โ
โWhoโs that?โ Clara asked anxiously, sensing impending trouble.
Peterson approached and reported in a low voice, โMaster, sheโs here.โ
Elvis glanced at Clara, then pointed at the door. โLook, my guest has arrived.โ
Clara turned to the entrance, her pupils constricting. She gasped; Sadie stood there.
Sadie, imprisoned by Molly, appeared at the wedding. Though given an antidote daily, her face was pale, her body weak. Clara's heart tightened. Sadieโs presence suggested something had happened to Molly; her hiding place had likely been discovered, and Sadie rescued.
โElvis, Iโฆ I suddenly feel unwell. Iโll go to the bathroom,โ Clara said, attempting to leave. Two bodyguards blocked her exit.
โHurry up, get out of the way! Do you know who I am? Iโm Mrs. Augustine! This is my wedding!โ Clara scolded, but they remained unmoved.
Feeling trapped, she turned to Elvis. โElvis, look, theyโre bullying me!โ
Elvisโs cold gaze softened into a slow, chilling smile. Clara realized sheโd fallen into his trap.
Sadie, supported by Peterson, approached. โClara, where do you think youโre going?โ she announced.
The revelation that Clara was actually Princess Clara stunned the audience. Whispers rippled through the crowd:
โOh my God, sheโs actually Princess Clara?โ โNo, thatโs not Princess Claraโs face.โ โCould she have had plastic surgery?โ
Peterson swiftly ripped off the human skin mask Clara wore, revealing her true face. Clara screamed, but it was too late; everyone had seen.
Gasps of shock filled the hall.
โOh my God, itโs really Clara!โ โShe wore a human skin mask and pretended to be the bride!โ โI heard sheโd been in love with President Augustine, but I never expected this!โ โNot surprising. Her brother, Houston, is a murderer and a thief. Seems to run in the family.โ โOMG! Thatโs insane!โ
Clara, once respected, now faced universal condemnation. Two months prior, she and her brother held positions of power. Their mother was popular, her brother the heir. But Oliveโs arrival from Visionary had altered everything, turning their family into objects of ridicule.
Sadie said, โClara, your mother escaped. She abandoned you, but I believe sheโll be caught soon, and youโll be reunited.โ
Clara looked to Elvis, her supposed savior. โElvis, save me! Pretending to be Olive was wrong, but it was because I love you. We were together last night. You were affectionate. Iโm your woman!โ
Despite everything, Clara clung to the belief that she was Elvisโs woman. Elvis glanced at her. โWhat are you talking about? I donโt understand.โ
Clara froze. He didnโt acknowledge her. Then, a beautiful voice echoed, โWhat are you doing here?โ
Olive, her face restored, approached calmly, her bright eyes fixed on Clara.
The crowd erupted: โThe bride is here! The real bride!โ
Claraโs anger flared. Olive always thwarted her. Yet, she saw an opportunity. Ripping open her collar, she revealed numerous hickeys.
โElvis, look! These are marks of your love. Have you forgotten last night? No matter what, Iโm still your woman. You canโt leave me!โ she pleaded. Then, addressing Olive, she said, โPlease let me go. We can serve Elvis together. Youโre the first lady; Iโll be the second.โ
