Chapter 740: Marvin Returns

Tonight, Elvis, handsome and noble in his thin black wool coat, stood quietly under a dim yellow streetlight, holding a black umbrella. His narrow, deep eyes fell upon Olive and Alpha. He had come, but what had he just said?

Olive shuddered, then called out obediently, “Mr. Augustine.”

Elvis strode over, his strong arms encircling her slender waist. He pulled her close, saying, “Am I still your Mr. Augustine? You seem to have found another.” Olive realized his jealousy.

Alpha, looking at Elvis indifferently, called out, “Mr. Augustine,” then turned and left in his luxurious car. Elvis, sensing disdain and malice in his father’s tone, was even more displeased.

“Mr. Augustine, what do you mean? Please explain clearly,” he said, starting to chase after him.

Olive quickly grabbed Elvis. “Mr. Augustine, what are you doing? Are you crazy? That’s your father!”

Elvis looked at Olive’s beautiful face—more beautiful than he remembered from a few days ago—and felt a sudden sense of unease. “Olive,” his voice low and laced with displeasure, “Are you protecting him now? Are you protecting me, or him?”

“I’ll always protect you,” Olive reassured, patting his stiff back.

Elvis snorted. “Then why didn’t you come to see me right away?” He gently cupped her face. “Olive, didn’t you miss me these past few days?” His grip left a red mark on her delicate skin. Why did he seem like a spoiled child?

“Mr. Augustine, I missed you very much,” Olive said, rushing into his embrace.

He held her tightly, her small hands around his waist, her head buried in his chest. “Mr. Augustine, I’ve been thinking about you all night; I couldn’t sleep. Did you miss me?”

His dissatisfaction and jealousy vanished instantly. He couldn’t stand Olive’s coquettishness the least. He lowered his head, his lips brushing her hair, kissing her hard. His hoarse voice murmured, “Me too. Thinking about you all night…made my whole body hard. If you don’t believe me…feel it.”

Olive quickly covered his mouth. No nonsense, especially on the street.

Elvis saw the shyness in her clear eyes. He wrapped his arms around her waist. “Let’s go home.”

“Which home?”

“You decide—will I sleep with you tonight, or you with me?”

Olive understood immediately. Breaking free, she ran. “No, I just got home. I want to be with the children tonight.”

Elvis chased after her, the pair laughing as they ran down the street.

Unseen, a silver Maybach slowly pulled up across the road. The rear window slid down, revealing a cold, handsome face. Marvin hadn’t seen them in over three years. Tonight, he wore a white shirt, his face striking, his black eyes bright. He hadn’t seen Elvis in years either. Now twenty-eight, in the prime of his maturity, he sat quietly in his car, watching Elvis and Olive. His gaze was particularly fixed on Olive, the woman he loved most.

From the driver’s seat, Phil observed his young master. He’d left a medical summit for news of Olive. Looking at the affectionate couple, Phil didn’t understand his master’s purpose.

“Young Master,” Phil said, “If you want to see Miss Hart, why not say hello? They’re already far away.”

Marvin slowly shook his head. He knew Olive loved Elvis deeply. Her three children were growing up. She was his sister-in-law.

Soon, Elvis and Olive disappeared. Marvin watched them go, murmuring, “It’s useless for me to go.”

Phil considered this. He knew Marvin was Lily’s support; with him, she wouldn’t regret her actions. Ignoring her was best. “Young Master, I heard Mrs. Annabelle is back. Shall we visit her?”
