Chapter 10

In the towering headquarters of Titan Corporation, a conglomerate valued at tens of billions of dollars and dominating multiple industries, the executive boardroom was in an uproar. Seven or eight senior executives, all direct descendants of the Khan family, sat around the table, their expressions ranging from frustration to outright fury.

“What the hell is this supposed to mean?” one middle-aged man, dressed in a tailored vest, yelled, pacing the room. “Grandpa sends a letter, doesn’t explain a damn thing, and just announces he’s transferring his LDS shares to some nobody?”

“When have we ever handed over the Heavens Group’s shares to an outsider?” another executive exclaimed. It felt like someone had stolen their birthright. Titan Corporation was the Khan family legacy, passed down through generations. It had reached unimaginable heights under Moses’s leadership, with assets exceeding billions. But now, without warning, he had decided to transfer his 40% stake—worth hundreds of billions of dollars—to someone else. The implications were staggering.

This wasn’t just money; it was power. Whoever held those shares became the largest shareholder in Titan Corporation and could topple the entire management structure with a snap of their fingers.

“Old Moses going to prison wasn’t our fault,” one executive pleaded. “I begged and pleaded with everyone. I even got down on my knees, but it didn’t help! What else could I have done?”

“Is this revenge? Or is he just torturing us?” another executive questioned.

Zander Khan, already fuming, voiced the group’s unanimous outrage. “No way. Absolutely not. Nobody is taking anything from the Khan family. Old Moses has lost it in his old age, and whatever he says doesn’t count!”

“Who is this person anyway? I’ve never heard of him. Did someone brainwash Dad? Find him right now. If he dares to take those shares, I’ll break his hands,” another executive threatened.

“Calm down,” someone interrupted. “We can’t panic. First, find this person. If he’s accepted old Moses’s shares, offer him benefits to make him hand them back. If he refuses… then we’ll take care of him.”

Meanwhile, at home, Margaret seethed. She smashed a teacup on the table and threw several vases from a display case onto the floor. Being beaten by Kyle was unbearably humiliating.

Belle rushed home upon hearing the news. Seeing the chaos, she trembled with rage. Kyle assaulting Matthew was bad enough, but now he’d also attacked Margaret. Though she knew Margaret and Matthew had provoked Kyle, it didn’t matter; they were family. It wasn’t Kyle’s place to punish them.

“That bastard has completely lost his mind,” Belle hissed. “Mom, I promise I’ll make Kyle pay a heavy price for this.”

Margaret, adopting a pitiful expression, replied, “Oh, Belle, you have no idea how vicious Kyle was. He hit my face and beat your brother so badly he ended up in the hospital. I’ve already informed Mr. Clements. I want Kyle dead.”

Belle’s face darkened. “Mom, why did you call Mr. Clements? With Mr. Clements’s power and methods, someone’s bound to die if he gets involved. Things are tense right now, and if this gets out of hand, it’ll affect me, too.” Mr. Clements’s influence in Redonda was immense. Even as a billionaire CEO, Belle had to respect him. More importantly, Mike Clements was a major figure in Kerdonia’s underworld and worked for the influential Rivas family, the rulers of Kerdonia. Even Belle wouldn’t dare to defy them.

Ignoring Belle’s hesitation, Margaret threw a fit. “Belle, why are you hesitating? Why do you care about what happens to Kyle? Don’t tell me you still have feelings for him!”

“That cannot be! I won’t allow it. And let me tell you, Kyle is nothing but trash. I saw him getting cozy with Faith the other day—having dinner, sneaking around late at night. They’re clearly having an affair! Do you think I wouldn’t be furious?”

Belle’s brow furrowed. She’d already called Faith and wanted her help, but she hadn’t expected Faith to actually go to Kyle—and worse, to a candlelit dinner. This was blatant! For some reason, hearing about it filled Belle with uncontrollable anger.
