Listen to this chapter:

Apart from Kyle, he obeyed and feared no one. He cared for no one. If provoked, he would retaliate lethally.

“Richard isn’t in Rhineland; we don’t know where he went. Mr. Kyle, you know how unpredictable he is; we didn't dare ask him,” they said.

Harrison scratched his head, readily admitting his fear of Richard without shame or embarrassment.

Kyle chuckled. “He’s eccentric, but responsible, too. I’m out of jail, so it’s fine. I’ll mentor him gradually.”

Harrison and Julian could only offer dry laughs. After all, Richard had previously shaken the underworld to its core. Once, after vowing to kill someone, everyone in the area had hidden for safety. Only by Kyle's side did Richard temper his behavior.

"Mr. Kyle, I'll report my results first. If you're unsatisfied with anything, we can change it immediately," Harrison said respectfully.

Julian's expression also turned serious. "Mr. Archer, we've done our best to follow your instructions. We may not meet your standards, but we hope you'll continue to believe in us. We'll produce satisfactory results one day."

Kyle laughed at their seriousness. "Sit, sit. Why so serious?"

At Kyle's laughter, they nervously sat. Kyle's ability to control Richard alone proved his capabilities.

Kyle smiled. "I've said this before—it's just busy work. There are no requirements. Furthermore, I trust you. You won't disappoint me, I'm sure." Kyle didn't act superior. In his heart, these men, and even Richard, were brothers and friends.

Harrison and Julian relaxed, joy evident.

"Nonetheless, I'll report this period's results, Mr. Kyle," Harrison said seriously and respectfully. "After release, I went underground. I'm not skilled in business like Julian. My name is well-known in Oral; I control a territory with eight thousand direct followers, each capable in their own right. We own several businesses, mostly adult entertainment. I've brought the account books."

Kyle smiled softly at the offered books but didn't open them. He knew Harrison was honest and perhaps too humble. Eight thousand direct followers meant at least 20–30 thousand total. He was no small fry. Mike, a big deal in Redonia, only commanded a thousand. Harrison had achieved this in a year!

Julian chuckled. "Mr. Archer, Harrison is being too humble. Everyone in the Croxdan underworld knows his name. While large powers still exist in Oral, given time, Harrison can unite it under his banner."

Kyle nodded, looking serious. "I don't care about your methods, but remember basic human morality."

Harrison immediately nodded. "Of course. I won't exploit innocent people or force them into anything. My men's income comes from legal gray areas; we cause no harm."

"Alright. Need money, let me know." Kyle patted Harrison's shoulder proudly. As long as he didn't exploit others, Harrison would be respected, even in the underworld; such people live longer.

"Mr. Kyle, don't worry. If he goes too far, I'll handle it. No need for anyone else," Harrison said earnestly, standing. Kyle waved him back down. "There are things humans shouldn't do. We negotiate first; violence is a last resort."

"Need anything, just ask. I'll support you."

Next, Kyle turned to Julian, smiling. "Your turn. You seem happy, so Prosperity Group is doing well."
