Belle trembled with rage when Kyle spoke against her and reminisced about his past with Faith. She wanted to yell, but she restrained herself out of respect for the event and to protect her public image.
Her anger contrasted sharply with Faith's joy. Head held high, Faith gazed tenderly at Kyle's face with happiness. She was pleasantly surprised that he remembered their shopping trip and pleased he wore the shirt she'd chosen. Feeling accepted, her cheeks flushed, adding to her radiance.
Meanwhile, Belle was enraged by Faith's seemingly unabashed demeanor. Suddenly, she noticed Faith's jewelry. Wasn't that the "Snow White Love" set she'd seen at Sky Achiever Tower with Ryle? Belle recalled Kyle buying it with Faith's credit card. Why was Faith wearing it now?
Upon closer inspection, she realized Faith wore the entire set, shaking Belle to her core. "Faith, how did you get this jewelry?"
Faith touched her necklace in response to Belle's shocked question. She gave Kyle a quizzical look, as if asking why Belle would ask. Belle, believing she knew the truth, smirked. "I got it. You're about to tell me Kyle bought 'Snow White Love' for you, am I right?"
Before Faith could reply, Kyle stated flatly, "Of course! I bought the set for Faith. What's wrong? I offered it to you then, but you couldn't afford it. Why are you suddenly jealous? And don't you think it suits Faith better? She's younger, has better skin, and a better figure; 'Snow White Love' was practically made for her."
It wasn't his intention to compare them, especially since he'd once been married to and cared for Belle. But since she wanted to compare, he was happy to oblige.
As expected, Belle clenched her fist at Kyle's jab. However, she quickly threw her head back and laughed. "Kyle, do you think you can hide the truth?" Sluggishly shaking her head sarcastically, she said, "Faith, I feel sorry for you. You're better off loving a pet than a loser like Kyle. You're in love with a liar and an ex-criminal."
But Faith shook her head. "No. Kyle told me it was named 'Love for Faith.'" Looking touched, her cheeks flushed, she said, "It's a lovely, exquisite set. Kyle said it was cheap because he didn't want to pressure me. He was worried I'd refuse the gift, but I'm sure it cost a fortune. Anyway, I'll love whatever he buys for me."
"How foolish and pathetic you are! No matter how you look at this jewelry set, it's fake! Only an ignorant woman like you would be fooled," Belle said, infuriated by Faith's adoration of Kyle. "Love for Faith? It's a counterfeit 'Snow White Love'! The real deal is the most prized item at Heavens Jewels in Sky Achiever Tower. It's on sale for $100 million. It's one of a kind. I'm surprised Kyle went to the effort of counterfeiting it when he can't afford the real thing. Thank goodness I've seen the genuine set, or I might have been tricked too. Do you know he used your money to buy you the counterfeit? How pathetic of you to be deceived by his gesture!"
Even after Belle's accusations, Faith remained trusting. In her eyes, the authenticity didn't matter as long as it was from Kyle.
Chuckling softly, Kyle pointed at Belle and said to Faith, "See, Faith? She's all riled up."
Faith burst out laughing and shook her head. "It's no big deal. Whatever you say, Kyle, I believe you. Counterfeit or not, I'll cherish the jewelry set." Belle's fists clenched in anger; she nearly stamped her feet furiously.
She felt strongly that Kyle had attended the event specifically to flaunt his supposed trust fund wedding and the counterfeit "Snow White Love." More importantly, he'd acted intimately with Faith in front of her. She believed everything Kyle had done was intentional.
