Chapter 239  Lemira caught a whiff of trouble the moment she looked up and saw Evelina. And there stood the ever so haughty Ms. Sinclair!  Sometimes, fate really had a twisted sense of humor!  Susanna sneered at Lemira, “Oh, it’s you. Disrespecting our Business School earlier this afternoon and just walking away without an apology?”  With Susanna’s words, the rest of the rich kids turned their attention toward Lemira.  “So, you’re the chick who looked down on our Business School. Pretty brave, aren’t you, sweetheart?”  “Tsk, tsk, what a country bumpkin, reeking of poverty from head to toe!”  Susanna marched right up to Lemira, “If you kneel and apologize right here in front of everyone, we might consider letting you off the hook.”  Evelina was delighted to see this unfold. Whoever sides with her from now on is against us!”  This country bumpkin dared to be so brazen, Susanna wouldn’t be polite. She must teach Lemira a lesson, or the Business School would become everyone’s laughingstock!  The other students quickly distanced themselves from Lemira.  Her roommate Clara instinctively stepped away and yanked over another roommate, whispering, “Are you courting death? We can’t afford to mess with these wealthy heirs.”  Janice hesitated but eventually kept silent.  Who would have thought a freshman would dare to stand up to the Business School! Now, she’d become public enemy number one!  Lemira stood alone at the staircase, her figure frail, looking very vulnerable.  Evelina’s lips curled slightly, “Lemira, you don’t want to be isolated at the start of the school year, do you?
